Hi all,

does anyone know what formation the 09:18 Inverness - Glasgow Queen Street service will be on Wednesday?

My girlfriend and her mates are going to see Take That and she's wondering how long the train will be.

My thoughts are a 170 or 170+158 at best.

Ha ha! She is Take That daft.

Hence why i'm NOT going. Thanks for the info guys. I knew about the Scot-rail diagrams page, I was just wondering if ScotRail were strengthening services that day.

You'd be very unlikely to see that diagram strengthened IMO. It runs as 2x170 from Aberdeen-Inverurie, so you wouldn't be able to lengthen it there. It then runs by itself to Inverness. At Inverness, the only 170 there all day is scheduled for maintenance (and is not available for traffic). There is a single 158 that may be available (that's stabled at Inverness TMD all day, and it's not on maintenance), but that would probably be their spare set. That's probably the only diagram that Besides, it's quite an early train, so little incentive to strengthen it.

Scotrail have actually promised extra seats for the concerts this week, and there was a thread regarding this recently. But I reckon that's just on the Glasgow-Mount Florida stretch.
