0800 train form Darlington tomorrow

Evening,

I have been asked by friends booked on this train (they are following the mighty Darlo to Wemberlee!) to check if it is running tomorrow. They have been told 17th hand it is cancelled due to the EC failed train today at Kings Cross. Can anyone confirm/povide gen?

Surely the "hot spare" will cover the diagrams if the booked train is u/s this evening

According to NRE and EC the 08:00 from Darlo to the cross will be running as normal.

Don't know mate, all I do know is that NRE and EC both report the 08:00 from Darlo as running as normal tomorrow (today even).

Well I would have thought so, but probably best for your friends to check NRE first thing tomorrow that it is running just in case. If it isn't then I would expect them to be accommodated on the next train at 08:21 which arrives into London at 10:59.

You are right. The 0800 is now shown on the database as cancelled. You'll have to take the 0821, which I would imagine quite busy given that it comes down from Edinburgh. Good luck.

Edit: You friends are only gonna be 16 minutes later than planned getting into KGX.

Service is apparently cancelled due to a train fault. The 0821 is currently expected Darlington r/t

Just to confirm East Coast were great and got everyone booked on the 0800 nto other trains and to Wembley for the big day so a big thank you to them!
