It's Cancelled, this not a srprise. But will it be replace by a bus for the next couple months, while the Hatfield slag is on the tracks.
The 06:00 Cleethorpes to Barton upon Humber is/was class 185 which got back in time to be the 8:26 to Manchester Airport. But with only two class 185 units at Cleethorpes now? And the Class 153 for the 07:00 Barton upon Humber are we going to suffer a bus for 06:00?

Only the middle car is used for passenages.

Looks like it's been consistently cancelled for at least the last week or so, which isn't surprising since both TPE units are required for the Scunthorpe shuttle (second one departs at 06:18). Not sure it can be avoided without finding an additional unit from somewhere just for that one service!

Is that true, wow, thought all coaches were used? Who do they stop you from moving into the end coaches?
Seen as it looks like you have travelled on it, how well does it load as it dosent stop at Great Coates (Barton bound only), Stallingbrough, Ulceby or Thornton Abbey. Do you know why it only calls at Great Coates, Barton bound?
Thanks, Sam

I thought it didn't stop at various stations to avoid problems with short platforms, so why passengers would be limited to one vehicle only, I don't know!

That's what I was thinking. I thought that Thornton Abbey was missed out due to large gap between train and platform considering that the drop from a 153 is substantial though
Thanks, Sam

I'd heard that one station was a no go due to the incredibly large drop. If absolutely needed, short platforms could probably be worked by a local door, a la Windermere branch, but it probably isn't worth it

A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
But will it be replaced by a bus for the next couple of months, while the Hatfield slag is on the tracks.

Two months...have they already decided that will be enough time to carry out the removal and reinstatement work..

Why did your wording of the final part of your sentence in the quote above immediately bring back to my mind one of the two characters in the scurrilous "Viz" comic..:D

185s have been cleared in the last few days to travel via Brigg etc so they can actually swap the sets round.
