[01/04/26] Fire between Carlisle and Edinburgh.

Hi all, I’ve just woke up to see this so would apreciate anything that you know! I have attached a screen shot of the train I was meant to be travelling on this morning.

That service is only cancelled between Edinburgh & Carlisle. A quick look at RTT suggests nothing else has been cancelled (yet)?

That’s really strange! I wonder what has happened.

Not saying this is the cause, but a tree touching the overhead lines and bursting into flames isn't unheard of. It can be usually be fixed pretty quickly compared to building fires.

There's also a very good possibility that someone just inputted the wrong reason for the delay

The inward working and unit last night never reached Edinburgh, there was a lineside fire at Quintinshill which affected the overhead lines. That’s why it was cancelled this morning.
