I have previously purchased and used a special Øresund Rundfarht(?) ticket- aka a round the sound ticket. This gave, IIRC, two days travel on public transport within the Skäne province of southern Sweden, travel in the Greater København area including the train to Helsingør, plus ONE trip on the Helsingør to Helsingborg ferry & ONE trip over the Øresundbron.

I can find no current information about this ticket so does it still exist?

If not, how much would a single be for two adults (not yet sixty) from Helsingborg to København via the Øresundbron?

As an aside: can the journey be broken at e.g. Lund and/or Malmö?

I believe the ticket has been abolished, as I can't find any evidence of it still existing. There are definitely tickets available between the Greater Copenhagen Area and Skane, with the price depending on your starting point and destination and usable on rail and other local transport.

If you want to do such a journey, you can (with plenty of booking in advance) do the entire round trip via the HH ferry and the bridge for around 200-250DKK from what I've seen before. The general problem is that Øresundslinjen has dropped all the integrated travel agreements, probably because Molslinjen run an incredibly barebones operation as a whole and they don't want to deal with the hassle of all the backend accounting with integrated fares.

Edit: confirmed, when Molslinjen took over, the ticket was dropped. The old ForSea company was Scandlines, which came from the DSB ferry operations, so it's probably why they were more willing to cooperate on such integrated services.

Second edit: https://www.skanetrafiken.se/biljetter/biljettertillskaneochdanmark/#navItem4 - there is a Skane/Copenhagen tourist ticket that includes the bridge, but seemingly not the ferry. The ferry tickets are pretty much always 69SEK for foot passengers in one direction.

Thank you.

Two of my colleagues are travelling to København next month and fancy a day trip to Sweden. They will both have FIP International Coupons for DSB so will benefit from free travel between Kastrup & Helsingør on the Danish side.

Their potential plan is to travel from København to Helsingør with stops at Humlebæk for the Louisiana Art Gallery, and Helsingør itself for Kronberg Castle.

Over to Helsingborg by ferry then a leisurely journey through Lund and Malmö before heading over the Øresundbron back to their hotel at København.

Note that FIP is not valid on the Øresundståg services between the Airport and København H - be sure to take a DSB service!

I'd recommend buying from Skånetrafiken, preferably through their app. They give a 20 % group discount for 2 people and up. I think a single ticket is valid for 180 minutes, so maybe not enough if they want to have proper stops on their way. But it's possible to get a 24 hours ticket.

I'd also recommend buying through the Skånetrafiken app, and as a bonus it's a good way finding app for public transport. Their single tickets have a variable period of validity, and I've just had a look at the app, and a single from Helsingborg-Kastrup is valid in all of Skåne (useful if your colleagues want to make a detour) and is valid for 180 minutes.

The cheapest option for a longer journey, however, is a 24 hour ticket which is priced at the value of two singles and has the same zone validity.

Something important to note about both the single and 24-hour Skånetrafiken tickets is that they allow unlimited travel in the specified zones using Öresundståg, Pågatågen, Krösatågen and Skånetrafiken buses.

There was a lot of complaints when Molslinjen took over the ferries and decided to ditch all kinds of through ticketing and collaboration with other transport companies. A journey from Malmö to Humlebaek via the ferry used to require one ticket from Skånetrafiken, now requires three tickets from three different companies.

The only upside is that now it's not any more complicated to take the rival company operating on the route, Sundsbusserna, who have foot passenger ferries that are a lot cosier than the car ferries.

One more vote for Sundsbussarna!

Some time back most of my business was in Denmark but I used Sundsbussarna for day meetings in Helsingborg. When I left Helsingør at about 0930 Sundsbussarna was packed with Swedish pensioners. When I reurned from Helsingborg at 1300 the same group of older-Swedes were still on board

I wonder why?

JUst out of curiosity checked and on the site of skanetrafiken, in swedish, there is still a ticket mentioned as Turistbillett Öresund, valid for 48 hrs, price 599 SEK, ONLY available via their app, which I found rather pricey. It was not very clear if that would allow a complete round/circle trip or now just to/fro Köpenhamn (how they call K/obenhavn in /se/) via the Öresundt-trains/bridge. A similar ticket for just the swedish side is 299 SEK- or 225 for seniors. The university city of Lund is also in this area and has Swedenś newest tramwayline.

That from the seniors just going to/fro as long as can do is a common and very, very old phenomenom-I remember it being mentioned and wondered about in my student years (that was pre 2000)- so they can enjoy the tax free consumption of alcohol on board.

Cross The Sound to Helsingør, buy as much beer and other items that are cheaper in Denmark than Sweden as you can carry back through customs tax free, return to Helsingborg and put items in car. Repeat.

The citizens of Helsingborg have a verb for this activity, "tura". It means to go back and forth on a ferry to Helsingör without getting off in between. Presumably the habit started back in the long gone days of tax free.

The Skånetrafiken tickets are not valid on the ferry, including the Tourist tickets. The explanation is of the Tourist Ticket (Turistbiljett in Swedish) is in English on this section of their website : https://www.skanetrafiken.se/english/tickets-and-discount/

Tourist Ticket

Our tourist tickets are perfect if you want to travel around all of Skåne or Skåne and the Danish side of Öresund. The tickets are valid for 48 hours from the moment you activate them.

To buy the tickets, plan your journey in the app by entering your departure and arrival destination. When travelling within Skåne, select the Tourist Ticket Skåne. When travelling to Denmark, select the Tourist Ticket Öresund.

There are exclusive offers linked to our tourist tickets.

The app is easy to use in my experience, and is available in English.

If you wish to check the zone validity of a ticket in the app you need to input the planned journey - which would be Kastrup - Helsingborg C in OP's colleagues case - then select the intended ticket type, and to check the zonal validity press edit zone, which shows the zones included in the ticket.

If you intended to use this ticket to travel by train from Helsingør - Copenhagen you would input your planned journey as Helsingør - Helsingborg.

As for the price, all tickets over the Öresund Bridge are extortionately expensive. Considering the Tourist Ticket is valid for 48 hours and is only 109 SEK more than the 24-hour ticket it is a good deal in this context.

Does anyone know whether you can use the Citypass Large together with the 48h Tourist Ticket for Skåne, to cross the Sound bridge? I might be using the Citypass Large for 1 day, and at the end of that day cross the bridge and then use the Skåne Tourist Ticket the next day. The 48h validity of the tourist ticket means I could use it already on the previous day, but of course it also needs to be valid.

Skåne Tourist Ticket

There are two different tickets: Turistbiljett Skåne (299 SEK) and Turistbiljett Öresund: (599 SEK). Only the second one covers the bridge crossing, as it also includes transport on the Danish side of the bridge. The first one is valid on Öresundståg within Sweden, but only as far as Hyllie (the last station before the bridge).

I meant the first one: Turistbiljett Skåne (299 SEK). So, although the page says that it's valid in Skåne, it is in fact only valid until the last station before Skåne's borders?
I've now found a zone map and the zones indeed seem to exclude the Sound bridge. However, the conditions (article 4.3.7) say it's valid throughout Skåne ("inom hela Skåne").
For the Danish City Passes, I haven't been able to find any more details, such as terms & conditions.

I'm also wondering what exactly is included in the Turistbiljett Öresund on the Danish side. The zones are clearly specified, but it seems that only DSB, Öresundståg and Movia city bus are included, so no Lokaltog, metro or any regional buses (any idea how you see the difference between Movia city and regional buses?). For 10/30 day subscriptions, a metro supplement is needed and for 24-hour tickets, the metro is included but 48-hour tickets are not mentioned. In any case, that means the Turistbiljett Öresund is no good for me.

Edit: I just found a page on the DSB website about the Øresund Ticket, where they just state that it's valid for "trains, S-trains, metro and bus", which sounds better. DKK 200 + SEK 299 is almost the same as SEK 599, so I might buy that. Or is this something else than the Turistbiljett Öresund?

The Skånetrafiken Turistbiljett Öresund is valid on the metro and trains in Copenhagen.

What tickets are available for travel to Denmark?

When you buy a ticket to/from Denmark, you can travel on Danish local transport such as S-trains and RE-trains (DSB), Öresundståg, Movia city buses, Havnebussen and the Metro within the zones you have purchased the ticket for and within the validity period. Some tickets require a supplement for travel on the Metro. All our tickets to/from Denmark are valid for travel on the boat in Copenhagen between Nyhavn and Reffen
[...]

Tourist ticket Öresund

Travel unlimitedly for 48 hours throughout Skåne and on the Danish side of Öresund. The ticket is also valid for travel on the Copenhagen Metro and on Danish local and regional transport within the specified zone.
This section is a bit buried in their website, but if you type in 'Danmark' on their customer service page (https://www.skanetrafiken.se/kundservice/) then click the second result ('Vilka biljetter finns det för resa till Danmark?'), and translate that to English, you'll see all the conditions for their tickets that are valid in Denmark.

From personal experience, while I haven't used the 'Turistbiljett', I've had no problems using other Skånetrafiken tickets on the S-tog, DSB, Metro, and local buses in Copenhagen.

I would not expect that work. The combined price of a ticket on the Swedish side and a ticket on the Danish is often lower than the price of a through ticket from Sweden to Danmark. The conditions of travel from Skånetrafiken also state in 4.3.1 that "Påstigning, avstigning samt byten ska ske inom biljettens geografiska område". So you have to board and leave the train with the validity area of your ticket, which would not allow you to cross into Danmark.

Many thanks. Quite hidden indeed. "Danish local and regional transport" should include all trains and buses, including regional buses and Lokaltog. Strange though that this description is wider than what's written in the actual terms and conditions.

A 24-hour Cityticket Large (DKK 200 or €26.80) and a Turistbiljett Skåne (SEK 299 or €27.34) are slightly cheaper (€54.14) than a Turistbiljett Öresund (SEK 599 or €54.76). But it now looks very much like I'll need the latter.

== Doublepost prevention - post automatically merged: ==

The Turistbiljett Öresund was indeed valid on all public transport in zones 1-99 on Zealand. The ticket inspectors see a map of the zones for which your ticket is valid, and in those zones, you can use all public transport. That also means Skånetrafiken's t&c are incomplete and partly incorrect.
I also made a faux pas by taking the train to Markaryd. Pågatågen go there but it's just in the next county, so the Skåne fares are not valid... but the ticket inspector was lenient "as long as you don't do it every day"...
