Good morning
I'm after a little advice on policy here.
I undertook a journey with Greater Anglia the other week on a First Class return ticket, but First Class accommodation was unavailable for both legs of the journey.
I contacted GA and have received a refund for the return leg of my...
Sorry, probably worded my question badly.
Is this something that applies to the last three LST-NRW services regardless of TOC? i.e. If Abellio were to lose the franchise, would the easement still bind future franchisees?
I've no idea for the reasoning behind it (maybe a good PR thing for people who attend late-running shows/events?) but I've taken advantage of it many times regardless of day of the week.
In the past GA have passed advance tickets for the last three trains running LST-NRW (2130, 2230, 2330) on any of the three services.
I've asked their twitter team if this is still the case, but they don't seem to understand what I'm getting at (they're thinking I want to amend a ticket)...
I got exactly the same e-mail. What exactly does it mean?
Is this the usual 'we'll keep your application on file' bull that you often get from a failed application, or is there more to it than that?
Hopefully they'll be able to create something that approximates the comfort of the Mk3 stock. It seems that most multiple units these days, even the InterCity ones, are very low on comfort compared to LHCS.
Unless anyone knows of any classes that buck this trend?
So how concrete are the rumours that the new IC fleet is going to be based on the Bombardier Aventra?
What are Aventras (likely to be) like, having seen that there also going to be doing Crossrail and London Overground stuff? Hopefully there'll be a wide range of interior options so we end up...
Thanks for that! Seems to confirm what AGA were telling me.
It's just slightly frustrating as I'd rather train it back if at all possible, but the later it gets the more expensive alternatives will be!
Hi All
Looking to travel back from London to Norwich after 21.00 on 13/07/2016 and 27/07/2016.
At the moment it seems that advance fares still haven't been released for these journeys. I contacted GA's customer service centre a couple of weeks back, and they explained that they still didn't...
Looking to do Ipswich - Manchester return, departing 23/09/2015 and returning 24/09/2015. Don't mind which way we go or how long the journey is.
What's the cheapest way of doing this? At the moment I'm pulling up £114.40 for an off peak return (via Euston), and £49 return for two off peak...
In that case, and please forgive me if I'm wrong, I don't think I could do the whole thing on one ticket.
I understand the talk of 'last train of the night' etc., but seeing as the last train of the night also calls at Ipswich, I guess any protestations would fall upon deaf ears?
Hi all
I'm planning on going down to Diss from Norwich on Friday evening, and then on to Ipswich on Saturday for the football, before returning on Saturday evening.
Is it at all possible to break the outward leg of any kind of Norwich -> Ipswich return ticket, to save me having to buy...
I'm going to an event in London tonight, and am booked on the 2330 LST-NRW. If it's not running, I shall be stranded in London. If that's the case, what obligations will Greater Anglia have towards me?
Booked it all as one ticket. I chose my reservation on the first train of each journey, and the booking engine did the rest.
I'm on the 1655 out of Cardiff, and the 2030 out of Liverpool Street. So it would seem that any short connections would be down to the booking engine?
I'm travelling back tomorrow from Ebbw Vale to Norwich using the return portion of an advance ticket. The outward journey was a bit tight, having to rush across Paddington from the tube, and across Cardiff Central to catch the Ebbw Vale train.
If I get similarly delayed on the return...
Hi guys!
I need to travel up to Newcastle from Norwich on Monday 30th April, and was wondering if you could give me advice on how best to structure/break up the journey so I can get the best fares.
Many thanks!
