Does anyone know what's up with 165130? It's been out of service for nearly 3 months now.

GWR need all the stock they can get so they won't be releasing anything. Especially given both the 150s and 175s are currently being refurbished/overhauled for them.

They're not, it was never Salisbury. The 158s are being done in Scotland, the SWR 159s are being done in Bournemouth, but the unit in that photo isn't Salisbury nor a SWR unit, it's a SR 158 up in Scotland, unless I am very sorely mistaken here.

The 159s are being done at Bournemouth not Salisbury. It's a ScotRail 158. Also, the headlight covers the SR units have would have been taken off during repaint anyway so that isn't really a factor here.

220027 hasn't been out since May, and having seen a video of 220001 from a few days ago, can confirm it has 60727 in it. Seems to be a recent thing as 220001 still had 60701 in it just a month ago.

Speaking of 170623, is there any update on that one post collision? I assume it's undergoing repair somewhere

Fairly sure that's either 153384 which is already converted or 153381, which is being converted at Long Marston

It can either be a TfW one or a Network Rail one and the NR ones tend to be done at Long Marston, so I'd guess it's a TfW one going through overhaul perhaps?

Yep, 005. I did wonder if it was on skates considering how the move was supposed to take 4 hours, but it ended up only taking 2 hours, so I presumed it was just running at reduced speed and not on skates? Edit: 165005 is back in service this morning, so can only assume its 017 that will be out...

It's possible that 165005 or 165017 may have taken 165003s place as the Aylesbury Christmas Tree, as 005 hasn't been out since late July, bar a reduced speed move from Wembley a few days ago, and 017 hasn't been out since 2nd August

The 185s are currently having their vinyls replaced, which in turn adds those new decals

Well that's pretty heartless. If they were in fact running for that train, there could have been many factors for why they were late, ones in which may have been out of their control, but we don't know that, but it might not be as simple as just "rocking up too late"

It's most likely more due to the fact that the whole fleet is stretched too thin and reliability is down the drain.
