West Mids have a depot at Leam. you can have a look at who has depots where on this thread https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/different-driver-depot-route-and-traction-cards.205085/
in most circumstances, yes they'd be noticed, but there are far too many variables. it's certainly far from uncommon to not see pway workers until you're passing them
why would a driver report it?
this is great, gives a whole new perspective on the lines I drive over daily
there are a number of stations on Chiltern not showing up, it's all the ones that are operated by LUL so Amersham, Chalfont and Latimer, Chorleywood, Rickmansworth, Harrow on the Hill, South Ruislip and West Ruislip
Chiltern
Aylesbury- AS
Birmingham Moor Street- BQ
Banbury- BU
London Marylebone- MB
Stourbridge- SB
Not sure what Bletchley is, I've never seen one of their diagrams
The majority of trains running through Aylesbury on the down main use the up platform. This leaves the down platform free as that's needed to run trains between the depot and sidings. it is also more convenient for passengers
on Wembley event days trains can leave Wembley Stadium in either direction as soon as platform staff confirm that the platform is clear as access to the platform is controlled and no more passengers will be allowed on until the train has left
in reality though most drivers prefer to wait until...
Marylebone starter link- all turns are spare turns so you will not know exactly what times you are working until 72 hours before (you'll know your rest days months in advance though). alternating weeks of early and lates
a small tweak to this. you don't actually have to give 14 days notice, it's just that if you give less then it becomes your responsibility to find someone to cover it (although in reality as long as it's a few days the TCS will generally find someone to work it for you)
if you give 14 days...
have all of the multiplle emails you've sent gone to the same address? there's every chance that someone has changed role and now nobody monitors that inbox and noone realises
you say this but then in your next post quote a section from the rule book that contradicts what you've said
drivers absolutely can, and should, get involved without being requested to do so by the signaller in the right circumstances
it's not every other Saturday, it's a maximum of 50% of Saturdays so will fall on early and late weeks (and nights depending on depot). you might do 3 Saturdays in a row or just 1 in a 5 week period. all depends on which depot and which link though
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
