    FGW HST lighting

I get off at Westbury. In fact I was on it last night. It was delayed by half an hour at PAD but then another hour somewhere near Eddington because one of the doors opened while we were moving!:o They evacuated the coach and terminated the train at WSB. When I got home I looked on the FGW...

    NFM07 Fare Increase

I've never seen a point in complaining about fare rises but then I'm not a commuter so it doesn't affect me that much.

    FGW HST lighting

    Yes, I know that

    FGW HST lighting

What I hate is that you can't see a thing out of the windows when it's dark and the bright lights reflect so much. If the interior were a lighter colour, dimmer lights would be more sufficient. The worst thing though is the seats. Just so they can cram as many people in as possible they've...

What a waste of a high speed train!

    And/or Bristol to Bedford

Birmingham New Street to Birmingham Snow Hill.Without reversing.

Try Keynsham to Severn Beach without reversing.:D Passenger lines only (no use of Dr Days Bridge Junc. to Feeder Bridge Junc.).

    Favorite tube stock

I've done exactly the same :) It will be interesting to see the new S-stock and their performance when the voltage is raised to 750v.

    Best Train/Livery Combination

I like the XC livery on the HSTs The new interior is good too (better than FGW) but the seats are so hard:shock:

    Night Riviera Tickets

How quickly do the Night Riviera all inclusive sleeper tickets generally run out?

    Day Rangers / Rovers etc

See: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/promotions/rangers_and_rovers.html There shouldn't be a problem wherever you buy it.

    Your favourite model train ever!

I've got one with the extra coaches but it doesn't like corners! I always wanted to travel on the real thing but it's too late now (except Eurostar):( The "City of Bristol" is my favourite though.

    Swindon to Penzance

Only if the ticket collector is actually bothered:) --- old post above --- --- new post below --- It also says that for Westbury to Cardiff via Taunton but I've done that with a standard ticket.

    Swindon to Penzance

The national rail website shows most routes via RDG but cheaper tickets are available via BRI Do you already have tickets?

Birmingham New Street to Birmingham Snow Hill.Without reversing.

    Train Overcrowding

I'm not saying that sock is instantly available but the sort of things open access operators pick up or as you said, loco hauled services. I saw an HST come through the other day - no idea why.
  19. WESSEX158

    Train Overcrowding

But with 2 car trains the frequency is the same
  20. WESSEX158

    Train Overcrowding

I understand that, but at least re-form the trains into 3 car. FGW shouldn't have gone back to only 2. Besides somewhere there must be something(s) spare, mabe SWT could operate some extra services - they operate a train to Salisbury in the middle of the night that must be nearly empty...
