I get off at Westbury.
In fact I was on it last night. It was delayed by half an hour at PAD but then another hour somewhere near Eddington because one of the doors opened while we were moving!:o
They evacuated the coach and terminated the train at WSB.

What I hate is that you can't see a thing out of the windows when it's dark and the bright lights reflect so much.
If the interior were a lighter colour, dimmer lights would be more sufficient.
The worst thing though is the seats. Just so they can cram as many people in as possible they've...

It also says that for Westbury to Cardiff via Taunton but I've done that with a standard ticket.
I'm not saying that sock is instantly available but the sort of things open access operators pick up or as you said, loco hauled services.
I saw an HST come through the other day - no idea why.
I understand that, but at least re-form the trains into 3 car. FGW shouldn't have gone back to only 2.
Besides somewhere there must be something(s) spare, mabe SWT could operate some extra services - they operate a train to Salisbury in the middle of the night that must be nearly empty...
