Thanks for that, suspected something like that, and possibly for the DS at Wembley. Huge opportunity to change this weekend (as well as other backlog jobs) lead time on half sets permitting
Just on the way home today and spotted a new ESR on the DS approaching Wembley Central and what seems to be another new one on the DF over Willesden North Jn. WCML falling apart ??
Thanks for this both. Didn’t realise next week’s closure was connected.
Look forward to whr ever in the future the tamping will be carried out on the poor top though !
Just wondering if anyone in the know can explain the Up/Dn Fast TSR/ESR in the Headstone Lane area that has been on for the last weeks, seems like 50mph
Also the Up TVS north of the embankment rebuild which seems 20mph
TIA
Not necessarily 'senior' as such as the grades were the same (certainly at LNW anyway). As far as taking charge, yes, they certainly did and liaised with signallers and incident response teams (S+T, PW, MOMs) as well as updating TOCs, TRCs and Attribution staff of developments
Th
They were Incident Controllers. Managed responses to events/incidents and logged faults failures, directing maintenance teams as required. TRCs worked with them to manage services around any problem and in general higher level regulating
Set up for NR LNW South used to be;
WCS Controller plus assistant, covered Euston to Rugby (IIRC)
WCN Controller plus assistant covered Rugby to Crewe
WM Controller covered Stour lines through New St to Penkridge plus Walsall, XCity and toward Salop
Chiltern Controller covered Marylebone through...
Just what I was thinking, although the old school in me would have preferred to see Duddeston brought back into use. Probably totally impractical given the long dilapidated state, likely asbestos and more recently a stack of DU buildings that have been parked at what would be the exit area
seemed a strange move to me when I saw it and then F14 didn’t move for an age. As for ARS I would be surprised if it was on as trains were being manually routed from the up slow to up fast via platform 3 at that time
On 0710 ex Lichfield (1R12), literally no movement since 0800 except briefly 5mins ago when 4M45 was allowed.

KASLO was always one of my favourites which used to be left at the end of our Control handover notes, Keep A Sharp Look Out
Ones that used to bug my OCD head were seeing messages that trains had been CAPEd effectively saying a train had been cancelled-ed ! Similar with speed restrictions had...
Looking back over the comments here and whilst questioning, inquisitive, curious, speculative, just to echo Yorkie’s requests above, this is just 16hrs after the incident, the RAIB report into Talerddig was only issued this week some 18 months post incident so this will not be concluded any time...
Fully applauded, from a Control have been involved in incidents that have been declared major and 2 where staff members were killed on duty and can attest you fall into the “affected” category. Thoughts with all of those with dealings in this incident in any capacity
