The TMS system sends an alarm to the driver if the toilet had been occupied closed and locked for more than 15 mins! No safe space for fare evadors lol. The driver now deals with all CFA and PAU events. Door control is selected by the drive by the ASDO system on the TMS ( well actually they...

Class 810 for East Midlands Railway Construction/Introduction Updates

2nd man's seat is going to be an issue. As it does not move away from it's mounting position. Yes it will swivel 90 degrees for access. I sat in it and as an instuctor/mentor/route learner, you will have a great view of the bulkhead that wraps around to the windscreen. Not sure if this is an...

Class 810 for East Midlands Railway Construction/Introduction Updates

222s will get reformed back to 9 and 4 cars before they start to go off lease in Dec, requiring 360s to go to MH, and Sheffield services to stop at Kettering again. 810 training to start Feb 25. In to service end of summer 2025. Another forum has suggested the 810s have the same cracking issues...

    MML Electrification: progress updates

With the wires nearly complete north of Kettering, do we expect to see the return of the DATS train? Which was used extensively for testing the wires between Bedford and Corby not sure if it can be reformed. I'll assume they will have to test the OHLE somehow. Sorry if this has already been...

    EMR Class 360's

Last management discussion I heard was the feedback was the passangers like and would prefer 3+2 seating. Lol what planet are they on

    EMR Class 360's

Last I heard, referb will be going ahead and it will remain 3+2 as that's what feedback from passangers has been? To what extent internally who knows, carpets, repaint & info screens. 360s north of Kettering will almost certainly never happen.

Not even got engines in it yet. Its going to be months till you even see it off depot. EMR will not see one until early next year if they are lucky.

    EMR Class 360's

In regards to Cauldwell, don't think things have progressed any further with GTR handing fully over to EMR as space is still a premium. But lifting kit may be coming back to the shed. So bogies off ? a possibility. They will have crane fitted soon to do HVACs etc. So all a step in the right...

    EMR Class 360's

Last rumour that was whispered about was, budgetary issues, Siemens came back with a very very high per unit refit cost. So was back to the drawing board. Possibly a bit of a hybrid keeping the middle 2 coaches as 2+3 with retrims and new carpets. With the 2 driving coaches getting the new 2+2...

    EMR Class 360's

110 running on the up and down fast from Wellingborough south junc to Bedford. Max 100 every where else if permissible. Overhead improvement work is being rolled out to increase fast line max speed running with AC traction to allow 810s the higher permissable HST speeds when running on OHLE thus...

    EMR Class 360's

Thameslink will never run to corby. There was talk about it a couple of years ago I'm sure route learning was part of the 5 year pay deal but... they have to protect the paths through the core. By doing the extra 20 miles from Bedford to corby any delays could have massive repercussions on...
