It looks like the Welwyn route reopened about 1230. In the 3.5 hours since then (according to RTT) they dispatched one service to Letchworth at 1306 and one to Cambridge at 1536. This is another great example of how they just can't seem to recover in any useful timeframe from disruption...

South of Cambridge is obviously a mess given the above, but at least GN are finally serving Cambridge-Ely again, actually fairly better than expected (seems to be more-or-less an hourly Cambridge-Ely shuttle and an hourly Cambridge-Kings Lynn shuttle).

I think it would have worked, if it had carried on to CMB rather than terminating at Ely at x12 it would have been running about 15 minutes before the GA Norwich-Stansted (x27 off Ely), and then with a few minutes of pathing allowance at say Waterbeach, would have arrived at CMB just after when...

I noted the one I was on this morning did so; good for GA, as usual. Though there is no note of this in GN's disruption information, indeed Waterbeach isn't mentioned at all. Shame XC don't add Cambridge North calls in cases like this, but I don't think I've ever seen that happen.

There don't seem to be any 379s out at all at the moment, maybe things are really so bad they can't run any right now. The 1424 KGX-Ely would seem to be the last service run by a 379 so far today, and that went off to carriage sidings rather than running the 1551 back as it would normally do...

:-) They've run one more service to/from KLN this afternoon, but it was run by a 387. It seems pretty clear that the issue is (still) with the 379s.

Well, they managed to run two trains from KLN and then the service fell over again. GN say 'Services had resumed earlier today following overnight testing. However, recent checks have shown that more testing and inspections are needed before trains can safely run through the area again.' Hurray!

One year later and the Ely PlusBus is still literally useless (and still apparently on sale!) with zero buses it can be used on, at least if the plusbus website is to be believed, as that still says the only operator it can be used on is Stagecoach East, who haven't run any buses in Ely for over...

In the end they did manage to run a handful of Ely terminators in the early afternoon. But everything pretty much stopped again once the evening rushhour began - looks like they've run a whole one train to Ely and back since 1700. Terribly helpful that they managed to run trains in the quiet...

Not at all, unfortunately I know no BSL at all. But the UI is pretty clear on these boards - one of the trains is highlighted while the signer does their thing. They finish and briefly disappear, the highlight moves to the next train down, they reappear and start signing again. It is obvious...
