Virgin Trains WC small (3-9 pax) group discount

I booked these Virgin small group tickets last year on two occasions and both times the discount on the ticket was marked 'CORPC'. There was no mention of GroupSave, number of tickets issued, etc.

WebTIS - Super-Off Peak Travelcard Unavailable?

Thanks. Irritating, but glad it wasn't me being daft! --- old post above --- --- new post below --- In case it helps anyone else, I've been told that this issue has been fixed. Certainly the couple of dummy bookings I've tried suggests that it has. :D

WebTIS - Super-Off Peak Travelcard Unavailable?

Is it possible to get a site powered by WebTIS (preferably FGW as I have a voucher to use up) to offer this ticket - http://www.brfares.com/#faredetail?orig=ROW&dest=0035&rlc=2TR&rte=305&tkt=SOT - on 14th February? It seems to be valid all day on a Saturday and Trainline powered sites offer...

    Merseyrail Railpass Mislaid - Reimbursement

Thanks. It would have been helpful if they'd told me that before I let the outward portions get swallowed by the barriers at Moorfields.

    Merseyrail Railpass Mislaid - Reimbursement

I have an annual Merseyrail Railpass which is bought - via my employer - from Northern Rail's 'Specialised Sales' Dept. I recently mislaid it so arranged for a duplicate to be issued and paid a £10 admin fee - no issue so far. I was under the impression that I could claim a refund for the...

    Merseyrail Railpass Format

I have an annual Railpass and always use the manual gates rather than the automatic barriers, usually at Moorfields (daily) but also occasionally at Southport, Liverpool Central, James Street and Hamilton Square. Never had a problem doing so and have never been asked to use the automatic...

Paying partly with eVoucher on RSH

It did for me when I booked on RSH at the end of last week.

    NRCoC 19(a)

Am I right in thinking that a Greater Manchester Wayfarer and a Derbyshire Wayfarer are both 'zonal tickets' for the purposes of NRCoC 19(a) and that - subject to the relevant time restrictions - it is therefore permitted to use the fast trains between Stockport and Sheffield with these tickets?

    Special Offers Discussion

Are the vouchers the same as those used when this offer has been run before? I'm out of the country at the moment but have a couple of spare vouchers from the last time this offer was run.

Chesterfield to Southport return on Saturday Jul 20th

Or use a Merseyrail Day Saver for LPY-SOP and return for £4.70. Must change at LPY and use the direct service on Merseyrail though.

    Liverpool Stations Group

Many thanks. I wondered as soon as I'd posted if I was getting confused along those lines!

    Liverpool Stations Group

Is this ATOC file - www.atoc.org/clientfiles/File/group_stations.pdf - out of date? This suggests that Sandhills is a member of Liverpool Stations, but Wikipedia and other threads on the forum suggest otherwise. What is the correct position?

    Southport-Manchester (via Liverpool)

Is there a station on the Merseyrail Northern Line - e.g. Formby - from which it is definitely valid to Manchester via both Liverpool and Southport/Wigan?

Letter from Debt collection team at Northern rail. Advice needed Please

I read the OP's post the other way, but that possibility did occur to me. I agree that's important but it wouldn't change my fundamental approach.

Letter from Debt collection team at Northern rail. Advice needed Please

I am a lawyer, but am not an expert on railway ticketing offences so do not usually post on these threads. However, this thread is as much about tactics, where I am more qualified to comment. I read the letter the OP has received in much the same way as Hellfire does. I also agree with...

Advance Tickets - Train No Longer In Timetable

I've also had my problems with the ticket office at Southport, most recently when they refused to sell me a Northern Rail £10 Day Ranger because Southport was "not a station on the Northern network". They obviously had no idea how to issue the ticket so I realised I was being fobbed off, but it...

Advance Tickets - Train No Longer In Timetable

Thanks, Yorkie. I want the least amount of hassle, so ideally I want to catch the 18:07 without having to buy new tickets, get new reservations, etc. I only mentioned the latter because I thought it might oil the wheels with any gateline staff and/or the TM. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I...

Advance Tickets - Train No Longer In Timetable

In mid-October, I booked - via Redspottedhanky - a day trip from Runcorn (RUN) to Euston (EUS) for New Year's Eve. I booked Advance tickets both ways - on the 09:02 from RUN on the outward leg, and on the 18:17 from EUS on the return. However, the 18:17 no longer exists in the timetable...

    Northern Rail £10 Day Ticket

Worth every penny. :D Used one of these yesterday from Preston to Carlisle via the Cumbrian Coast, then down to Skipton via the S&C and back to Preston via Wennington (changing at Lancaster). The 144 from Skipton wasn't great, but nothing wrong with the other stock (2 156s & a 158).

    Prague - Vienna

This page - http://www.oebb.at/en/Travelling_abroad/SparSchiene/Booking_informations.jsp - suggests that the booking deadline travelling from Prague to Vienna is 60 days (cf. 92 days going the other way), so maybe wait a couple of weeks and try again?
