SWR have a problem with ADR at the moment. They have recommended you claim for delay repay via the form on the website or via email to customer services till the problem is fixed.
SWR have ANPR but you can buy car park tickets from the tvm's. All you have to do it put in your reg number and it will match up with the ANPR system. So you don't have to put ticket in car.
You wouldn't do pts or dispatch training. You would only do ticket office and tvm (ticket vending machine). Depending on if you are going to be and a single manned station ie just you. They might give you ramp/passenger assistance training.
Yes they do share the shell and body with the class 350. Seimans did the testing of the class 350 here in SWR land as they also had 3rd rail shoes on them at them time.
All I do as a commercial guard in SWR is I ask if they are going to pay and if they say no. I walk away from them and report it on our fair evasion app with the head code and a description of the passenger.
When I was gateline at SWR I did ask about shadowing shift with the RCO'S near to me and they were happy to do that but sadly covid came along. As you get along with one of them at Guildford when you both have time for a chat ask them as that would be a good starting point and word will probably...
A few months ago I had worked a train in to Alton Hampshire and had a customer who had been on since Waterloo ask where did they find the bus to Alton Towers.
