First blockade is indeed Christmas 2029, second is several years later. Station opening wont be till mid 2030s. Part of the plan is that the tracks are moved Northwards in the first blockade, clearing space for the construction of the rest of the bridges and the Southernmost station platforms...

I can't tell you much about it, but here's the photos I took whilst attending rail live last week so those that know more about OLE than I do can comment. The train depicted is the 'Hydroflex' Hydrogen demonstrator, which was doing trips round the test track (on OLE).

I'd assume they are primarily using the thermal imaging camera to see how hot things are getting. They will spot a failed air con system in a signalling equipment cabinet, an overheating OLE switch, a failing 3rd rail connector, power supplies running very hot etc - All things that are likely to...

I took my regular 720 from near Cambridge to Liverpool Street and back today. Held up absolutely fine - Train was comfortable (temperature wise at least!) both ways. Certainly a little warm, but perfectly acceptable.
