Uniform will be with you either first day or within a few days of starting, just casual till then. As for stationary a big A4 notepad and pens will do you.
The RSSB medical standards are on another thread on here as was looking yesterday. Up to +5 hypermetropia and -8 myopia. I’m -5.5 and vision although almost perfect with lenses is poor without
I took the tests in April 2017 so a lot of this is from memory but what I'd say is read through the practice material as although the practice examples are different the descriptions of the tests are fairly accurate as to what will happen on the day. If you've read about it on here you'll be...
Does anybody know if there was ever a resolution to the pay dispute, has the salary changed since the role was first advertised? O the back of that what were the concessions with shift length as I believe it was meant to reduce overtime, is that right?
Whilst I appreciate the loyalty within this approach as someone who was stung in the past by VTEC offering me a trainee role only to then withdraw it, the best advice I received on this forum was not to put all your eggs in one basket, I missed several opportunities believing I was through the...
Apologies if this has already been answered but what does “successful candidates are likely to be offered the role as an apprenticeship opportunity” mean? Is there a difference between that and a usual trainee driver role?
100% this is the right advice, this forum is useful but it’s still a competitive process and for a safety critical role, best to accept that as if you’re not suitable for the role and don’t have the right attributes I’d rather fail the process fairly than make a mistake later when it could...
I completed the VR last Saturday, I must admit I didn’t think it went well, was quite relieved when didn’t get an immediate rejection but then received the same email that was previously sent in error this morning. The email is identical but I think this one will be genuine due to the delay in...
I must admit the timing of the email surprised me, 8.46am during all this going on in the country and not an automated one as that would have came immediately on submitting the test. A part of me hoping it’s another system error :)
After getting the initial rejection email and then the retraction email and access to the 2 further tests last Friday. I sat the tests Saturday and have then had a further rejection email this morning so assuming that’s a definite one. Good luck all who get through
I was one of the VTEC lot who didn’t get a role, applied again but immediate rejection after SJE, like others I don’t know where I go wrong on these, everything safety first and have in the last 4 years passed 4 of them (as they’re all similar) but failed 2 also. I guess they don’t give feedback...
I received an immediate reply to say I’d passed online assessments, it then was a standard “whilst we endeavour to move everyone who passes to the next stage it’s not always possible due to volume of applicants etc. Those in top scoring bracket will progress.”
