The A452 between Hampton-in-Arden/Meriden and Balsall Common is now routed over the new alignment & bridge that will take the A452 over the HS2 alignment. Still a bit of work to do as the route is only one side of the new alignment and single lane
Viaduct looks great, but the passenger experience doesn't look like it will be great due to what I presume is the soundproofing measures on the left and right of the viaduct, although the left looks lower than the right. I've seen the same at Coleshill near me on the delta junction viaducts
Hi. I was wondering whether there was a specific criteria for being eligible for being shortlisted for train driver jobs with West Midlands Railway? My son (26) has applied for a second year and has not been shortlisted despite completing the application form, answering all questions, CV...
Can anyone confirm what route the Highlander will take through Birmingham and onward to Crewe when it stops at Birmingham International? Will it route via New Street without stopping?
Drove past it yesterday for the first time in months. The bridge itself looks to be finished (just needs tarmac on it) but there's still a lot of work to do to route traffic over it both sides of the new bridge. The new traffic island by the truck stop needs to be started, but they seem to be...
I was lucky enough to go to Cheltenham to see Guenther Steiner Unfiltered with my son, and paid extra for the Meet & Greet (there was probably 15 of us) where we got our hard-back copy of his book signed and a photo as well.
He was a very nice bloke, and one of the things he agreed on as that...
It might help if I explained my choices. I selected an Open Return from BHI to East Croydon and the price quoted was £200. The journey was BHI-EUS, Tube to Victoria, Victoria to East Croydon. No mention of any Travel Card options or whether the ticket was valid on the Tube
I need to travel down to London tomorrow (12/02 - Birmingham International to Euston) and I chose the 06:58 service. I tried to book via the Avanti West Coast website however it said there were no more seats to reserve (no specific options chosen). I booked via TrainLine which provided me with...
It's been dog doo down that part of the M42 for a while. It's better now that Junction 5A has opened (better for me anyway) as M42 traffic does have a tendency to block the J6 island because of the M42 HS2 roadworks so taking the new A4545 route is preferable for me
I drove past it the other day - must admit that it looks bigger/wider in person than on the photos, I just think that the overhead compared to the plan has it aligned more to the right so it could cause an unnecessary kink in the road alignment. I still think it looks more aligned to carrying...
Be interesting to see how they re-route the A452 over that overbridge and what gap will be in-between the two sets of dual carriageway, and it will also be interesting to see when they start the new roundabout too
Thanks.
That actually confuses me as the HS2 website says that the new overbridge is to re-route the A452 over HS2 but that PDF suggests that the overbridge will be used instead to re-route the road that leads to Mercote Hall Lane (and include a new roundabout at Lincoln Farm Truck Stop), and...
Does anyone have a link to the proposed re-routing of the A452 between the Hampton-in-Arden and Balsall Common islands now they have completed the A452 Kenilworth Road overbridge?
Given the fact that I believe the MP for Yardley is in a Senior political position (despite it being described as a junior role), and the constituency I was referencing is her constituency, I stand by my comments. Your correction is welcome and accepted though, and I now know why I thought Jess...
My bad, I was confusing Jess Phillips for Angela Rayner. Thanks for the correction, I will vilify myself for providing misinformation
I also try not to listen to Farage, Tommy/Stephen etc... because of the bile that tends to follow them. I picked on the quote from Lowles as it was also...
