Back in December 2022 I was lucky enough to catch a picture of 56081 with 69004 on a RHTT train on platform one at London Victoria.
I would like to ask here, prior to this date when was the last time a class 56 visited the terminal? I cannot find anything on a google or Flickr search.
Thanks...
The train does go to Dover, the stop isn’t advertised on the train or the passenger information screens at stations.
After Faversham it is advertised as Ramsgate only.
The service reverses at Dover and goes to Ramsgate, not 100% sure if a door release is given at Dover so passengers from there...
If anyone here is a driver, there are certain types of stock where the driver can hear the passengers behind them in the saloon, and oh boy some of the conversations I’ve heard over the years.
There’s lovely people who threaten to do this that and the other to people down the phone.

Hi everyone.
We’ve been told that 13 class 377s will be coming over to SE shortly, this is to replace more networkers.
I guess they’re to replace 465s on some of the Ashford/gillingham runs?

As a driver I’ve read this report and as sad as it is, we will never know who was driving.
Here’s my thoughts…
Most of the report findings I agree with but in the absence of a data recorder we will never know…
I agree with the report that if the AWS was isolated the driver was expected to...
According to some of the older drivers, it was 60mph throughout many years back, but residents living above the tunnel were complaining of vibration from the trains, so they lowered it to 30mph and it’s been that way ever since.
Hi all.
I’ve heard a rumour that all the remaining metcam networkers on southeastern will be withdrawn at the December timetable change.
Any truth in this?
JJ
It may have changed as per the autumn timetable introduction, but I'm fairly certain it was the 1312 and the 1412 off Victoria on a Sunday that was networker.
It also isn't guaranteed to be a 465/9. 465/0s and 465/1s have been used on the services as well.
I was a participant on the jolly slatemen tour in 2021. Got allocated a seat in a mk1 compartment. First one since the slam door units left us, the stock was immaculate and well taken care of! Got chatting to two gents in the compo and the day just flew by!
