They’ll remain with Go North West for a different project, and won’t be replaced at Bolton or Wigan. The 19 new electrics will replace a different batch of vehicles for cascade / disposal.

They are Reserve fleet but currently seeing active use due to volume of refurbs and other fleet works. They are likely to leave Bolton/Wigan early in the New Year for another project.

Of the 317 buses Go North West entered into the Permitted Fleet in September last year, 102 were brand new (50 x EV d/d and 52 x E200 s/d). All 102 were specifically ordered for Manchester, hence them all being built and delivered in TfGM spec.

Correct - 100% of the Bee Network fleet operated by Go North West is owned by Go North West. The fleet model in GM franchising is for the operator to own the fleet, even where vehicles have initially been ordered by TfGM eg the 50 x EVs at Bolton.

All trains were busy but generally some seats free in the back couple of carriages, and was able to book onto brake van ride ten mins before it departed. Enjoy Sunday!
