Is evading the lavatory entry fee seen as harshly as evading a fare?

That's a common German thing, motorways services are like it. Make sure you go to the loo before you buy a coffee, not after.

    Chiltern to remove on-board catering..

It would appear you will be entertained to "a complimentary selection of healthy snacks and drinks". Which I suspect will be a goody bag containing a bottle of water and an airline size packet of nuts. https://www.chilternrailways.co.uk/what-business-zone

    Chiltern to remove on-board catering..

They've surely got to provide some sort of catering to make their business zone worth while. £25 extra is a lot to pay for 90 minutes in an open first if that's all you get.

    Dress codes for PRIV holders?

They could refuse to carry you if your clothing was causing offence to other passengers. A racist t-shirt slogan would do it. Then they could confiscate your ticket while they're at it. If you're on a £5 supersaver you probably wouldn't give much of a toss. If your priv pass is at stake you...

And in the evenings especially that can mean an lengthy yomp to the very far end of platform 4-6, too often passing a collection of units parked up and lights out on platforms 1 to 3 and and then more on your assigned platform. No fun at all if you've got cases or kids in tow. And it's not...

    Chiltern to remove on-board catering..

Chiltern haven't helped themselves on the loco hauled stock. Putting the buffet/open first at the London end doesn't help, few people four or five coaches back will bother to make the pilgrimage. I'm sure it would do better in the middle of the train. And it would help if they put them back...

    Chiltern to remove on-board catering..

Maybe Indian Railways style chai wallahs is the way forward. Definitely one-man bands.

    Chiltern to remove on-board catering..

No it isn't, VAT has long been charged on takeaway food.

    Chiltern to remove on-board catering..

I quote.. (from Twitter) And life becomes a little greyer. I wonder what they will do with the Business Zone. It certainly won't be worth £25 extra. Scrap the M3 buffet open firsts I expect.
