Four Lane Ends as a whole is in need of attention, not just the Metro platforms. There's the empty retail units, the broken toilets which haven't been fixed for years, the thing in the car park stairwell that's been continuously beeping for years on end, the hall with the ticket machines that...
I only lasted a couple of stops in the heat (and the smell!). I will miss them, but they've certainly had their day. The air cooling in the 555s makes such a huge difference.
There's a bit of a difference between the best use of limited capacity on publicly-funded transport and deciding which restaurant to choose to eat at, which would be readily apparent with about three minutes of concentrated thought.
You still need drivers to actually pay attention to what's in front of them. Callerton Parkway crossing on the Metro has lights, sirens, rumble strips, and plenty of signage, and you still get idiots ignoring all of it and getting hit by trains on a depressingly regular basis.
I put together a few variations (by hand with Pixelmator! No AI rubbish used) with the yellow nose panel changed to match the rest of the livery, and it looks far, far better with the dark blue or Hull Trains-style black, much like the Amtrak locomotive on the last page.
I don't care for putting flags on everything but taking the design as it is, it's a little bit like the (much better colours) Transpennine Express livery. The front should be red or white though.
