There’s new masts erected all the way along the line at the end of Edinburgh Airports’ runway.

I always thought the Haymarket to Ladybank, partial electrification plans were the original plans… The thread you put up hasn’t had a comment since 2020…

It’s remarkable that nobody really knows the true details of the project now. I.e. Dundee/Perth. Those were never in the original plans. You can search online about and still be none the wiser. They’ve built a new compound at Turnhouse but nobody knows when the work will start either… what’s...

Looks like a fair bit of activity at the Edinburgh Airport compound in recent weeks.

Drove past this site on the way home from work. This is Lennymuir Road just down from the bridge that runs over the Edinburgh to Dalmeny line. Does anyone know if this has anything to do with the electrification project?

You seem obsessed with Westminster? I’m so glad we aren’t run by the SNP… they’re the main reason this simple project is all but over. Anyway, it won’t be long until they are a thing of the past and us Scots go back to voting Labour!!

Honestly, what a disaster this whole electrification project has turned out to be. I thought they already had the money to be able to carry out the work. After all, they’ve piled a whole load of still cylinders for the masts. And let’s be honest, it’s not exactly a difficult route with many...

Does anybody know if they’ll close the line during the festive period for works, like they said they’d do last year?
