£2 fare cap comes to Scotland:

I think its an odd way to calculate a saving. Its 40% cheaper for the same journey. You have read the original message wrong, I think thats why your confused. Its £3.10 Livingston to Glasgow Its £2 from harthill to Glasgow Both significant savings over flixbus

£2 fare cap comes to Scotland:

Flixbus costs £5 from livingston to Glasgow, then £5 back to Livingston. That = £10 Ember with the same journey is £3.10 there and £3.10 back which is £6.20 I think that is a big saving, not 80p its nearly 40% saving. Im not sure what your on about per hour, both buses take the same time and...

£2 fare cap comes to Scotland:

Its £5 single from livingston to Glasgow single minimum on flixbus sometimes higher so £10 return £6.20 return is a big saving, i certainly wont take the train which takes longer and is double that price

£2 fare cap comes to Scotland:

Ember is only £3.10 from livingston and £2 from Harthill to Glasgow on their new E20 route so flixbus might have a bit of competition there

Won't the shorter 72 route make it possible to align it to be every 30mins

    TfL wheelchair priority

The bus company can make it policy that if the buggy isn't folded, or the person refuses to get off the bus and accept a onward travel ticket the bus is so sit stationary until the passenger complies. It shouldn't be up to the driver to decide which persons rights to violate.

    TfL wheelchair priority

The bus can refuse to move until the buggy is folded or the buggy user gets off. Rewarding selfish behaviour just encourages it

Spoiled for choice in uphall! 31, 902, E19, 72 and X19 all going to livingston

    Ember: Electric coach service

Will E20 replace E19? Im guessing once it goes to Livingston it will duplicate the E19

Ember buses already serve P and R and dont cost an arm and a leg

I would like to see a bus stop under the M9 at winchburgh so the 909 citylink could give an express service now to edinburgh!

Uphall already would have 72, 31 and 902 to livingston and all would be much quicker. Residents of Pumpherston and uphall station would not have a link to broxburn with this proposal. I think the 74 would have to terminate at broxburn

https://www.eastlothiancourier.com/news/25303210.east-coast-buses-drivers-go-strike-pay-row/ This popped up into my news feed, is it still the case that east coast and lothian country are paid less than lothian drivers?

Its probably £10.50 single so they get more money from the government when someone uses their free buspass

Would this cost be less if they put on single deckers? A half hourly 72 wouldn't need a double decker

The x19 is completing with the x38, if you make it every 60mins it will still be transporting air as the x38 is more regular. It must be every 30mins to hit mcgills profits. If anything they should bring back the green arrow Coaches on it!

    Lothian group (Network/Route Speculation)

Realistically the x19 needs to be better than mcgills x38 ot it isnt much of a bus war.

I don't think that's acceptable detour for the majority of the passengers that want to go between newbridge and Bathgate
