Another OntrackwithTim YouTube video released this morning. As well as showing the completed Calder Road and Colne Bridge Road layouts from the air, it has a complete drone fly past from the start of the Baker Viaduct, over the new grade separation structure to the Calder Road bridge.
Do we...
Another YouTube video showing the demolition in progress of both the old Calder Road and the Colne Bridge road bridges from OntrackwithTim from Saturday. Once again with informative comments underneath.
Also a video from Sarah Bell showing the final parapet works on the new Colne Bridge Road...
Yes, we have been spoiled as to how quickly a video recording of work carried out has regularly appeared on YouTube. I am sometimes amazed at the effort to edit, produce and then upload a video done in less than 24 hours, so a few days is quite understandable sometimes. I appreciate it anyway...
The latest On Track with Tim video on YouTube shows the surfacing in progress on the A62 bridge plus a video of a drive over the realignment.
Video also shows progress at Huddersfield station with work on the new subway and roof.
Apologies to those that can't access this, but Network Rail have posted a video on Facebook showing that the last girders of the Baker viaduct over the river have been lifted into place. It's part of a general promotional video for the Transpennine Route Upgrade programme, so nothing else is new...

The research was in the context of bus services, but also applies to high frequency train services. Of course some routes don't get that level of frequency because of demand. It's more the human perception of 'turn up and go'.
TfL research shows that at 12 minute frequency (5 services an hour) people perceive a service as truly 'turn up and go'. In other words that don't worry about any timetable and simply rely on the service.
There's also a story in the construction trade press about running the delivery packages in parallel to reduce overall costs and risks.

Well they have planning permission now and since the Chancellor did a photo op on the concourse about the development, there's no way it's going to be called in.
We can but hope the lighting design is a good one.
I think that you will find it's one L shaped block, with the main entrance where the McDonald's building currently is. The two existing entrance squares will be covered by the brick effect arches and the concourse will have fake steel arches to largely match the 1990's arches/canopy. I assume...
I would say Stratford is the obvious answer. I remember using it in the 1980's when practically only the only traffic was interchange between the Central line and the Shenfield line. Now a massive station.
Thanks. It seemed the logical explanation for 11 cars. Of course if a /3 isn't available it means a short formed 8 car formation, as I have personally experienced in the past. That was cosy from the Street
