My gf had the same email, and is also in talent pool. It all goes off what position you are in the talent pool, what depot you are waiting on, and when a vacancy arises. There is no fixed time limit really. Could be this month, could be 6 months or longer. What depot are you waiting for ?

As far as I am aware, only four candidates are being selected for each depot that advertised a vacancy, as there is only one position in each depot, possibly 2 at Man Picc. There is no saying one of those four will be selected, you have to impress and give a good interview.

Exactly, it may seem unfair, but this is how it works, and I don't think it would change anytime soon, because they know they will always get a high number of applicants.

No I think there is a overall pass mark, like a standard, but TPE require a higher % pass. Say official pass mark is 82%, and you get 85%, you have passed, but TPE may require 89%. But Northern might only want 85% so you are free to apply with them, or any other TOC whose pass mark you reach...
