Yes that is what I had in mind.
I have quite often watched Traffic Cops and the stinger is not that effective.
Some keep going until the wheel rims are wearing out and by then the car is dangerously out of control anyway.
If police could stop a car remotely it would obviate the need in most...
In the past two weeks there have been three "wrong way" incidents on Irish, English and Welsh roads.
On the M9 in Ireland a week or so ago three sisters and one sister's son was critically injured in a head on collision on the M9 mtorway after a Garda persuit resulted in them making off wrong...
The saga of the St Anthony Car Park continues the council are now looking into it.
Interestingly the car park was once owned by the council but was apparently gifted with the former council owned pool as a way of generating additional income.
"Jubilee Pool probe launched by Cornwall Council...

Someone else I was in contact with who took his appeal to POPLA had his appeal rejected.
The Manx Electric Railway is good for pubs located at the three principal stations:
Douglas Derby Castle - Terminus Tavern
Laxey - Mines Tavern
Ramsey - Fynoderee Distillery and Bar (they do sell beer as well as spirits).
Fynoderee can be seen in this view taken at Ramsey. One could get...
An update on this issue - the misleading signs have now made the Cornwall Live news web site:

One peeved user who got fined claimed it's a 'scam' with the conflicting messaging between signage and the machine"...

Quite early yesterday morning on social media quite a few were saying it was arson which seemed to be jumping to conclusion very quickly.
Perhaps the culprits were known and it wasn't difficult to track them down?
Bit of an update on the Jubilee Pool car park - I see someone has complained to Cornwall Live which has run a feature on it which has been shared around a bit of social media hopefully the owners may now be shamed into sorting it out.
"
Anger and confusion at 'pay and display' AND 'pay on...

On Thursday June 18th I was in Penzance for a last trip on RMV SCILLONIAN III and happened to be in the right place at the right time to see the arrival ot the end of a delivery voyage from Vietnam via Brittany of the Isle of Scilly Steamship Company’s new cargo vessel MENAWETHAN which also has...
Up to my incident in April I would have 100% had the same view as you follow the rules. I have been driving 44 years and have never had an issue with any private or public car park. In my early days of driving I did get one Liverpool Council issued ticket as I overstayed my welcome at an old...
In some ways the driver at Carbis Bay acted more irresponsibly than the driver responsible for the Great Heck crash on the ECML?
At least the Great Heck driver did remain on scene and call for help - but was still gaoled.
I know that Great Heck involved injury and loss of life - but the driver...
Just for the record as I explained to Mark by email yesterday after my Parking Eye appeal was rejected I just decided to pay up the £60.00. Not happy about it - but I had other things to do and had invested a lot of time writing the appeal, writing to Jubilee Pool and discussing the matter on...
It would appear that the driver ran off after leaving the car according to latest reports - obviously had something to hide!
"The driver of a car which crashed onto a railway fled the scene, police have said."...
