Hopefully as more people become aware of it's existence throughout the area it will become more used. I think it's sensible to have a large car park given lots of people will use it effectively as a park and ride to Exeter and beyond.
I also know people who use it regularly but are dropped...

It looks like Andy Burnham is considering a national Railcard. I think this could be a major vote winner and could really benefit passenger numbers. Finances I am...
I think it's a desire to ensure that the authorities are never accused of being taken off guard by the weather. However, too much caution leads to people ignoring the warnings - therefore when people actually do need to heed serious warnings many don't as there has been too much crying wolf!
Gosh, that's a quick turnaround. I thought that it would be used for more time than that. That's ideal then!
I suppose therefore platforms 2 and 3 can therefore mainly be used for stabling services that aren't turning around quickly?
I tried to buy through tickets to the South Devon Railway but it proved impossible, even at Newton Abbott ticket office. Their website says you can, but in practice it's impossible so it was frustrating!
I caveat with we don't know all the facts.
However, in general it infuriates me when there is severe disruption on the railway and then staff treat the customers like they are 'trying it on' when they are just trying to get to their destination. It's such bad customer service and would not...
Hey everyone,
I just need some advice.
I need to claim delay repay for two paper tickets that are Two Open Returns from London Paddington to Newton Abbott.
The tricky part is the tickets have identical ticket numbers, but the GWR delay repay flags this and says the ticket numbers must be...
Well no, but I think for a relatively small outlay in terms of resources it would create a really valuable service, for an area that's quite deprived.

I would hope not given that Darlington is a valuable junction station. Maybe the odd express going through but otherwise I think the...
True, but it would only actually be two units going to and fro for an hourly service? It's 45 minutes direct.
Maybe I should send a message to the mayor suggesting this
Will this create the potential for more services that terminate at Darlington? It surely will create more possibilities given that there's capacity Darlington -Middlesbrough and beyond, now that these services won't have to interact with the ECML. For example, potential for regular Darlington -...
It's a shame as I think this sort of train allocation is ideal for mid distance operations between large towns and cities, but obviously reliability needs to be important. If it's a route that someone does regularly they will be prefer an average DMU that turns up on time every day than a loco...
I personally would much prefer to ride on a loco hauled train with a lot of space.
Are some of you saying that the reliability won't be great due to their age? Or the condition of the trains and carriages ing general is poor?
I was unaware of the 225's operating for TFW. I think it's a great idea as it'll increase capacity and create a nice comfortable journey for what is a reasonably long distance. Clearly the narrator was happy and I think the public who use this route will be too!
I've just had a response from TFW.
They did indeed state that the email address I initially used (customersupport@tfwrail.wales) was 'not in use and has since been corrected'. I'm not quite sure what this means!
Thankfully they have accepted the service was cancelled and have agreed to refund...
It's one I've dealt with before and received emails from recently, but indeed it may have changed. I have emailed them now on customer.relations@tfwrail.wales in addition to the Ombudsman so hopefully will get a response from someone soon!
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
