Was in Paisley this morning for work so decided to take a quick trip to IBM in the afternoon. All rather strange but I bumped into a few people on the site. Someone was walking their dog and two others in high viz were walking around (security maybe?). No one I passed seemed to care I was there...
Most observant! This thread sought out to determine whether or not it was legal for passengers not to show their tickets. Any yet we've ended up talking about whether or not a driver had a drink. The substance of the thread hasn't been dealt with since the first page, so on the assumption...
Good evening. I was wondering if someone could help me fill in a couple of blanks:
- 14 September 2018, 14:08 Ipswich to Norwich.
- 21 September 2018, 18:00 Ipswich to Norwich.
- 12 October 2018, 1923 Ipswich to Norwich.
Many thanks in advance :)
You can upgrade any ticket type to first class on Virgin Trains on weekends if you pay the appropriate upgrade fee (and provided there is space). Details here: https://www.virgintrains.co.uk/experience/first-class/weekend-travel
If you're talking about Anytime ticket holders qualifying for a...
My advice is always to email your delay repay claim where your journey includes a leg not on the Virgin Trains network - do not use the online form.
The online form for delay repay claims will not recognise stations not served by Virgin, forcing the customer to enter only the Virgin Trains...
I've been a regular sleeper traveller for work since August. So here's my tuppence worth:
I didn't use the sleeper all that much before Serco so can't possibly comment on pre- and post- Serco price comparisons. But having used the sleeper between London / Crewe and Aberdeen eight times in the...
Indeed and for that reason I personally refrain from posting the few significant oddities I'm aware of. If you want to find out more then come along to one of the forum meals / meet ups and get to know people.
But I will add this goes both ways, and occasionally anomalies identified on the...
For those of us using tokens from Trinity Mirror newspapers they are the same design as they have been for some time now, and look just like the tokens in Karl's picture. The colour does look slightly lighter than last time around, but to be honest no two tokens are ever the same colour anyway...
These are the Cross Country services via Crewe. I guess (can't be sure) they're there to ensure drivers' route knowledge is retained in case of the need to divert that way.
There is one northbound Cross Country service via Crewe, but that's in the morning and starts at Birmingham ...
Agreed. Had this been the response then that would have been the end of the matter (or at least it would have been on its way to being resolved). Virgin would at least give the appearance of taking the matter seriously, would have moved the complaint away from a public forum and would have...
As far as I know the Settle-Carlisle rover still exists, but the price was increased after the line reopened last year (BRFares shows it as £31). The Northern website seems to be missing several other available rangers and rovers so I wouldn't rely on their website as a definitive source of...
Speaking of Virgin Trains EC's Twitter, here's how they responded this morning when a customer complained about how a member of staff spoke to them:
Putting aside the initial complaint, the response on Twitter is wholly inappropriate. It's dismissive, unprofessional, makes no attempt to...
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
