I think the authorities are already aware of this kind of activity. Hence, TOC’s moving towards a position where all enforcement actions are going to be recorded by body worn cameras, to protect all parties.

I’m sorry, but I don’t see how having rest days (which human beings need), and are contractual and can be mandated; means you don’t care about your job/colleague/customers.

It’s just staff choosing not to volunteer for overtime. I suspect that the hot weather has accentuated this. Declining morale and industrial relations in certain areas may be a further factor. Would you volunteer to work trains on your day off with no/failing air conditioning in sweltering...
