    Ember: Electric coach service

was sort of hoping that the the E20 might actually go into Livingston Centre as well from Glasgow, would have taken a lot of passengers from the 902 for that part of the journey, i do still sort of think that the 902 may actually become a Glasgow to Livingston service only purely based on the...

Bus services you think are useless.

I'll nominate the 1 service here: https://bustimes.org/services/1-nitshill-silverburn-centre run by Cochri Coaches Again i get it may be for the older population etc but there is also the tendered 49 McGills service as well which serves a lot of the same route bar the Nitshill/Pinmore St and...

    Scottish Citylink

well sorry to disappoint but it appears that has not made a comeback, obviously the economics for it did not stack up in one way or another, as good a run as it was! https://www.citylink.co.uk/our-routes-and-timetables/glasgow-skye/

    Scottish Citylink

Ah that explains why they are still there, plus the West coast routes IE 914 and 915, on the citylink website show until the 5th of June, I was really hoping they would do similar to last years changes for the summer timetable, more to the point of having the later Skye run that i used for a day...

Funny - but clearly not correct train lengths

Could you just imagine that a 153 doing a run down the East coast mainline at 75mph full thrash, wonder what the timings would be for that!

    First Greater Glasgow

The Cathedral St closure is here: https://www.firstbus.co.uk/greater-glasgow/news-and-service-updates/updates/cathedral-street-19-41-38s-57-diversion-31st-march, its in the current issues section page 2, buried slightly i will admit!

my thought on this is if Stagecoach are coming out and saying its a loss making service then i certainly cant see First holding onto it for long either, wouldnt be surprised if it gets culled completely at some point.

    Flixbus Discussion

How are the numbers on the 090 Glasgow-Edinburgh bus, is it still pretty much a fresh air special, how likely would it be for me to be able to just try a walk up with my NEC card and get on, as opposed to using the 900, im assuming it will be quieter than the 900. This would be for a journey...

    Scottish Citylink

This is a service i will certainly use regardless of getting in late, it allows people to visit Skye for the a day trip now as oppose to having to find a BnB/Hotel on Skye itself which i have had a look in the past and it can be quite expensive even for just the 1 night.

    First Greater Glasgow

speaking of the fleet and the recent issues etc, I have always thought that the ADL products have been of a lesser quality overall the last few years, now this is just a few comparisons and thoughts i have when riding around on First Glasgow Buses For example the Volvo B9TL's despite their age...

    Lothian group (Network/Route Speculation)

Just to throw my tuppence worth into the conversation particularly with the West Lothian Network and considering i have not followed much of the changes over the years since i travelled often to Livi on the 15A/X15, obviously now the 902 helps with this and remember the network more from First...

ALL First Glasgow services to be suspended between 8am and 6pm tomorrow due to the red weather warning for wind across the central belt. In light of the red weather warning in place across Greater Glasgow, and advice from Police Scotland we will be temporarily suspending all services from 8am...

    Scottish Citylink

call me cynical but i do think it will end up being a Glasgow to Livingston service only, now i do only travel between Glasgow and Livingston on the service but it seems to me that buses coming from Glasgow, most passengers do alight at Livingston with maybe 1 or 2 staying on for the...

What stock will Scotrail procure to replace HSTs?

I did think the 222's could be used as well but then that might have a slight capacity hit and as much as i would like the 68's and Mk5a's then that's not happening as there is not enough and i feel they would still be too expensive to run and too expensive to maintain in the long run. I do...

    First Greater Glasgow

This may seem like a bit of a random question but what lengths are the 68 plate Enviro400MMC's and what gearbox do they have, i assume they have Voiths but unsure wether they are 10.3m examples or 10.9m, Plus is there any difference between them and the 66 plate examples that are in the fleet...

    First Greater Glasgow

Put it this way be grateful that most journeys that are not direct in Glasgow only require the 1 change to go anywhere within the network in the main. It's either that or have buses going round the houses and serving every nook and cranny which then people will complain that they take too long...

    Scottish Citylink

I also witnessed a Pano on it within the 1st week of the new timetable, it was the 1655 peak short working from Glasgow to Livingston only, made me quite excited to see there being doubles on it.

Expect that to be the norm by the looks of things, as for my local bus the 75, the idea of every 12mins is now between 10-15 mins at times but seems to be particularly every 13 minutes more than any other frequency within that range.

    First Greater Glasgow

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-business-67357077 quite surprised no one has mentioned this so far, What would be the state of play etc will services run or not and how this is going to affect the city in general or do people think it will likely get suspended or fixed out before...
