Has anyone who has only applied for Edinburgh/Bathgate with the closing date if 12/07 heard anything or are we all still under consideration? Also anyone on here who already has a pass with The psychometrics, does ScotRail do them again or accept a previous result?

I suggest logging into your Abellio account, it will say there if your application is under consideration or if you've been unsuccessful. Fingers crossed for there being no bad news 8-)

It's no different to other large organisations e.g. Police, Fire, Forces etc having targeted recruitment, those targeted aren't just offered jobs - it's about getting people to apply who wouldn't normally. Once their application is in it's a level playing field for all.

I took it to mean that the first 2 (or 3 if you don't live close enough) questions would be an introductory paragraph and 2 new paragraphs starting "I would like to work for Virgin Trains East Coast because.........." and "I would like to be a train driver because......" had a very strict word...

But not a huge presence on the main stream media, it isn't even on their own normal careers page. Unlike the last time ScotRail advertised it was in all the papers and TV news programmes resulting in more than 22k applications. Hopefully we'll all keep this secret for ourselves :lol:
