LNER have today advised the East Coast Mainline will be completly closed between London and Leeds / York. Thameslink and Great Northern have advised no trains will operate on the East Coast Mainline on Tuesday.

If most train drivers of ASLEF, I can't see many trains if any operating on strike days for these TOCs. You can't use agency staff for train drivers!

Just received an email from my MP regarding GTR: "Passenger numbers are still at only 74% of pre-covid levels" No where near this 90% figure that I've seen quoted in the media over the past few days.

This is going to have one huge impact on passenger numbers, especially with a tube strike in London as well on the Tuesday. I can many TOCs advising people to work from home if they can on strike days.

Most office workers in Central London will just work form home for the strike week. Going to be loads of empty desks in civil service offices during this week!
