Thanks - do you mean I can't do it because the route is invalid or I can't do it (use a travelcard that way)?
Will I be able to use London terminals ticket at West hampstead thameslink Station?
Thanks.
I need to go to St Albans City from London next week. I am wondering if I could get a St Albans City to London zones 1 6 day travelcard with my first journey starting from London?
I plan to go from Canning Town to West Hampstead Thameslink
Then train from West Hamsptead Thameslink to St...
I'm bit confused with the technicality in these arguments.
Anyway my original intention of splitting the ticket is that I like the flexibility of using an oyster card. In 2016 I had a season ticket for zones 2-4 and I have been buying daily return tickets from New Southgate to PB.
Now that...
Actually it's cheaper. I can get a ticket from PB to zones 2-6 but I don't really need zones 5-6. If I get a season ticket from zones 2-4 then another season ticket from New Southgate which is in zone 4 to PB it works out cheaper.
Zone 4. But the last station of one ticket is zone 4 while the first station of another ticket is New Southgate (in zone 4) - does that mean they are the same or not?
My understanding is that previously I could not buy two season tickets (one zonal and one starting from a named station) if my train does not call on the stop. For example, I could not get a zone 2-4 season ticket and then a season ticket between New Southgate (in zone 4) to Potters Bar as the...
actually what I meant to say was: doesn't that count as two separate journeys? One from Canning Town to Dalston Kingsland and one from Dalston Junction to Hoxton?
So does that mean to avoid this unknown transaction charge I should just touch the yellow reader at Stratford on the way out? I think the unknown transaction arises because of the morning journey so what I do in the evening should not matter.
I see - so a bus journey in the middle of the day...
Interesting - I have not noticed. Only very recently I have tried to start touching the yellow reader rather than the pink reader in Stratford. Reason being I was talking to a colleague who makes a similar journey every day to work and she advised me that if I touch the yellow reader it should...
Many thanks for your help. I've attached three such examples. One is my normal route i.e. from Canning Town to Potters Bar and back and the other one is when I travel into zone 1. Incidentally I had taken buses at lunch time in mid day. I thought that might be the reason why there was no unknown...
I understand from the single fare finder (it's a good tool I didn't know it existed and that it gave you alternative route!) I have to touch the pink reader at both Stratford and H&I whereas I have been touching at just Stratford but still get charged the not-via-zone-1 fare.
I didn't know I...
That's why I am confused. I thought the zone 1 fare is £1.60 since I have the gold card discount loaded on my oyster card. The £2.40 is standard zone 1 price?
That's a good point - I don't think I went to zone 1 on 28 or 30 November and I can't exactly remember why there were no touch out in the journey history. As to why there is no touch in on the pink reader at Stratford that's because a colleague (who commute via a similar route) gave me a piece...
I have a zone 2-4 annual season ticket on my oyster card. I was going to Canning Town to Hoxton the other day. My journey is like this
Touched in at Canning Town and took the jubilee line to Stratford
Did not touch in the pink reader at Stratford (I'll explain why below)
From Stratford took...
I've attached three journeys - both 28 and 30 November have an unknown transaction. 23 November is what it should be.
For 30 November I can't remember why I did not touch out at Canning Town at the end of the day - either the gates were open or I went to East India to go to a shop and forgot...
I commute from Canning Town to Potters Bar every day. I have a zone 2-4 annual season ticket on my oyster card and I buy a daily extension paper return ticket between zone 4 and Potters Bar.
My journey looks like this:
Touch in at Canning Town and travel to Stratford via Jubilee Line to...
Thanks for your reply.
No they didn't mention yellow cards - What are they?
They definitely did not caution me and told me what would happen next. They did not offer me to sign anything. They didn't take anything away from me apart from maybe jotting down my driving license details.
I can't...
