Trips by Bus and Coach: Your reports

Lovely report! The open toppers and other seasonal routes run out of Mountjoy outstation as do some other network buses. Alum Bay is for some 7/12 vehicles as you rightly point out in the report

Gatwick to Rayners Lane fare travelling morning peak.

He could get the Oxford Airline coach which is £15 single from Gatwick to Heathrow, or £20 for a return within a year, then the SL9 up from Heathrow. You can walk up to the Oxford Airline and pay onboard, no need to pre book. They leave Gatwick South at 0655 and 0755, North Terminal 10 mins...

Notice of intention to prosecute, advice needed

If you changed at Southampton and came along the coast via Chichester and Worthing I would hope that the £27.40 fare would be the one used on top of the settlement, rather than £96, but the advice you’ve got is solid

    Bluebell Railway volunteering

Being a Bluebell volunteer, I work primarily at Kingscote and occasionally East Grinstead and Horsted Keynes. We certainly are shorter of staff up at KC and EG, and Kingscote is a beautiful station to work at but you can work at both to get variety. Horsted is lovely too and was used for most...

    Split ticketing rights

Yeah the original person on X didn’t make it clear what ticket they had from Newcastle. Although contactless in the middle say between Kings Ceoss and Victoria is still in effect a ticket/method of payment in the chain

    Split ticketing rights

So basically GTR have been giving false information multiple times? This is the current thread involved
  12. James Wake

    Split ticketing rights

GTR, specific example in this case was the Southern brand. I’ve seen before someone be told they can’t use their split on a later train due to delay on even a GTR service when linking with say an LNER or GWR for instance

    Split ticketing rights

Hi all Quick one, if LNER are advising do not travel and a person has an advance ticket from Newcastle to London, then a separate advance ticket from London to an onward destination, should the operator of the second portion of the split be conveying them the following day? One train operator...

    London Victoria to Fareham

No, but it’s an option to sometimes change on a Brighton to Southampton train or change at Fratton or something

    London Victoria to Fareham

Yes, was just adding Portsmouth as the other option those trains that split go to

    London Victoria to Fareham

Usually it’s the front 4 coaches for Fareham and Southampton or Portsmouth

Ticket acceptance in times of disruption

Hi all Is there any regulations more up to date than the ATOC regulations of 2014 that state any passenger should be given access to next available route regardless of operator if travelling with an operator specific ticket? In this example my friend had in excess of a 1 hour delay on the...

Three Bridges to London travel advice

Being a Three Bridges commuter myself, I would echo that if I was making this journey, I would go Thameslink to Farringdon on the 0801 or 0810 then Underground two stops to Euston Square. The 0807 Victoria train is often busy even by Three Bridges, the 0836 is quieter
