Good info there beaver creek, I thought they would get more than 600 applying?
I think it's a cracking job if you can get in.
Can I ask beaver creek, did you have any previous experience from the railway/metro link and do you know of extremal staff getting in at all?
Many thanks in advance
Hi all
Just wondering how many people on this forum have applied for the metrolink (manchester) job?
If so is anybody else expecting to hear anything this week, (good or bad) given they wanted people to start in august?
Good luck to all those who have applied!:)
Thanks withnail I'll go ahead and apply tomorrow.
I haven't driven buses before but I have sold womens lingerie does that count?
Only joking!!
I've got nothing to lose so will try my best, thanks again and thanks to 156441 too.
Good luck to all ! :)
Thanks for info withnail.
Does anybody know if I applied for conductor job, whether or not it would go against a current open application for trainee driver job?
Many thanks in advance.
Hi sw1ller
I too was awaiting shortlisting, until today when I finally got a no!
Tbh I wasn't holding much hope out, given the fact they are fully in the process of recruiting.
I'll keep trying though, and strangely enough I've also had an email today from northern saying they'll be in...
thats almost cruel karlo but I suppose it's better than a no.
Do you know or does anyone else know if the 6 months is from the closing date or from when you receive the e-mail?
Best of luck in the future mate.
I'm still ' awaiting shortlisting' sammy(and kt)
Surely they're not going to cram everyone they've picked for assessment into only 4 days?
Is anyone wiser with the figures I.e. how many they get thru assessing in any one day?
Good luck to everyone so far!
Good luck on the day mandub!
Has anyone else heard anything, one way or another?
Sorry if I'm being nosey but I'm guessing this must be the next stage of people finding out?
That would rule me out as I live in manchester, wanted to save time filing in the application form ,unless anybody has got any advance on 30(mile:)s)
Thank you play
It would be a bit of a risk but then again my job has no certainty against it's future anyway
Good to know tomnick it also took you a few attempts before you got anywhere.
Thanks for the info, it does make me feel better knowing there is hope and I will keep applying, thank you again:D
Thank you mac, thats useful to know. It did say on that application the crossing was due to close jan 2014, so that makes sense.
I just hope a few more opportunities for signallers arrive in my area.
Thanks again.
Hi mac.
Are you suggesting that all signalling jobs are temporary?
I've got to admit I was hoping for something permanent and the job I did apply for was temporary until december 2013?
Can anybody else throw any light on this?
Thanks in advance as always:D
