My point is perhaps in the opposite direction - around where I grew up, in London commuter territory, there are lines where every train calls at every station. Lots of stations like that.

I've always felt that if a train is replaced by a bus, my train fare should be refunded to the equivalent National Express (or similar) coach fare. We typically pay more to use the train, so if that benefit is removed...

Green Park is infamous for its lengthy tunnels, if changing between the Jubilee line and anything else. They're probably not as long as some of the surfaces interchanges in large stations that people have mentioned, though.

Good point that the route probably has a dramatic effect here. On the Highlander people want to sit and have a meal or a drink. With the later departure of the Lowlander, a lot of folk probably go straight to bed.
