Tram Driver - Manchester Metrolink - now recruiting

Don't hear much praise from people who worked for Metrolink. No eating or drinking in cab and blind has to be up at all times. I know 3 people who used to drive for them.

    Db Schenker Train Driver Assesment

You won't need bop it, that part of the test has gone. Practice the dots on computer. On the day its paper and a bit easier as they only have 3 or 4 different groups of dots. I bought bop it, finished it in a few hrs and realised I'd wasted my money. Dots is first part of test. Fail that and...

    Northern Rail- Wigan and man

Blimey! You've had the heads up for that job. I think they do the online test still, I did it a few years back when I applied for guard role. Mechanical test has gone and so has the reaction test with the foot pedals and flashing colours. The newer tests are still failable though and if you do...

    Trainee conductor Northern.

SCAAT test is definitely harder. I can vouch for this as I have done both.

Conductor vacancy at Blackpool North TPE.

You can have laser eye surgery. It depends on what type. Even as a driver you can.

    DIAL practise :)

Its still the Glop train. Just remember the key points, speeds, colors etc.

    DIAL practise :)

Found the dials straightforward. Glop was the one I was worried about but I passed it. Good luck I'm sure you'll do fine.

    Trainee Train Driver

A pass is a pass nowadays. No borderlines or high scores so I believe.

    Train Manager/Conductor

Its very hard to sack people these days. Disregarding the drug and alcohol policy and as a driver the mobile phone policy whilst in a cab are sackable offences. Making a mistake and not owning up is not necessarily a sackable one. It would probably not do you any favours if you went for...

    Train Manager/Conductor

People don't get sacked so easily. I hate this misconception that people have about the railway.

    Trainee conductor Northern.

Learn the SCAAT test. That's what Northern have for guards.

First Great Western medical - What should I expect?

Medical will be very basic as it isn't a safety critical role.

    The two strike fail rule

I found the guards ones just as difficult to be honest. The only upside is they were shorter.
