I live near morpeth. And often work in Birmingham. So I will often come back via Carlisle so I have breakfast on the train. A little longer but 100% worth it for a nicer journey

Although not cheap I love having breakfast on avanti. Traveling at speed eating brekky

Booked a 1st class ticket on the 8am Birmingham New Street to Carlisle Service. Yet the reservation is in coach J where as i thought that was SP. (used ticket splitting site) Do i need to change the seat reservation in order to get 1st class service, food etc

It's a nice journey with the noise from the jointed rails... Quite relaxing really.
