Scotrail Edinburgh Waverley - Glasgow Queen Street via Falkirk High
- restarted service at 1330, likely to be running half hourly and at restricted speed.
I'd rather go for the 90 min journey as this will be a day trip. Not tried Europa, not been to Stirling since I was at school so might give it a visit, thanks.
Ok I now see those standard £50 single fares! So the anytime return is basically what I'm looking to buy therefore making it £16.50.
I don't need to buy single tickets or anything, eg £50 outward + £50 return journey?
The cheapest East Coast advance ticket is £9 each way so im saving £1.50...
Hi, apologies if this has been covered, tried to search a few topics for a basic answer which I have been unable to find.
I have a PRIV (Q rate) ticket through my employer First Scotrail and am considering a trip from Edinburgh to Newcastle on a Saturday.
To get an idea of how much it will...
Tried looking up ATOC Staff Travel for answers but doesn't seem to go into specifics.
Looking for some info on possible upgrades to First Class.
I am an employee of First Scotrail and planning some trips during the year within Scotland and possibly using East Coast or Caledonian Sleeper...
Thanks pal, the medical wasn't as bad as I feared but I only say that in retrospect as I passed it. Think they said they only contact your GP if you have any current conditions that you might take medications for. Had to fill out the BUPA form and mention I had a period of depression about 10...
BUPA Medical today, declared fit! (pending urine test which will be fine)
:D
Spoke to Scotrail today and induction will likely be mid January.
Massive thanks to all the advice on here, great help :)
I applied for Gateline at Edinburgh Waverley so I assume the test is the same. I was originally told that they would be interviewing those successful after the tests so it would be an all day thing but in the end they had the interviews a few days later.
Interview was ok, I've had an...
The SCAAT test was just one test, I've applied for the Gateline role last month and sat the test and had my interview, just waiting to hear now.
He will have been sent practice sheets explaining what the test is looking for.
On the day it will be a Group Bourdon Test which is a page of grouped...
You provide an example of what they're asking... Basic application really.
You might think its hassle but I guarantee that you wont get an interview unless you bother.
In the experience I've had, you apply and then after a lengthy wait, the ball starts rolling with interviews and assessments.
Good luck at the assessment, it was a paper based Group Bourdon for this role, not the grid of letters they will send to you for practising lol
I did the online application thing and waited about three months before they contacted me with details of the Assessment day.
You will get an interview if you pass the assessment. If you have already done and passed the Group Bourdon test, they might skip straight to interview. But for me it...
:(
Dreaming about this now. I may go back to my GP and see if they can rush through a referral which I doubt as I have to wait my turn like everyone else. Not entirely sure what may remedy this anyway. My eardrums blown out a few times and last time I went to Dr about it cos it was blocked...
Thankyou! It is a conditional offer so at this moment I am both excited and apprehensive as I've had problems with my left ear which may just kill the whole thing.
I am gonna contact Scotrail on Monday as the medical requires me to take a passport (which I don't have) or an endorsed...
Update on this folks...
In another thread I was looking for advice on a Gateline job with FSR which I recently applied for - attended assessment, sat and passed Group Bourdon, called for interview etc and awaiting the outcome.
But... about a week ago, the day before I did the Group Bourdon for...
3% on trolley sales, it was mentioned when I had my interview earlier this year. I'm guessing 3% of ticket sales will be more (unless the coffee price takes a massive hike lol)
Think the salaries are the same but - given the choice - I'd like to choose the one that would give me a better...
I think you escaped the SCAAT/DBT then.
Say's its an assessment day/interview and to practice the SCAAT examples they sent.
And so I have been... til my eyeballs are bleeding.

From these GBT results, what needs to radically improve and what (if...
