In several years of mainline driving on the GE that was the worst week for adhesion I have experienced. Coupled with other factors it's been a very tough week all round for everyone at GA and of course the people that travel.

GA have a few cancellations and alterations already today due to heat speed restrictions.

In reagrd to the PIS code it just comes up incorrect number, then we have to do manual announcements.

For some reason the PIS code doesn't work for this service and hasn't ever as far as I know. Personally I just do manual announcement when safe to do so. Hopefully they can get it fixed sooner rather than later.

Yes it does split at Colchester. I think we're booked in at 17:39, the front 8 coaches go to Clacton and the rear four coaches go to Harwich at 17:47 following the 17:00 to Norwich which doesn't stop at Colchester.

The 321's are not fit for purpose in the 21st century on the GEML. They never reach there maximum speed and with the volume of traffic especially in the peak delays will always happen as these units are passed it. The only hope is when the next long term franchise happens the 321's, 317's and...

On the GEML NR decided in there wisdom to repaint a bridge that was full of graffiti I kid you not ORANGE! :) So the people living near there must be pleased to have all of us whistling up thinking there's NR staff on the track.
