1Y17 cancelled at STP because of a door problem
1F56 cancelled at Derby (222020) with the return leg starting from Chesterfield instead of Sheffield due to a fault
Never great when the replacement fleet are also having problems - 1D66 (810011) cancelled at East Mids Parkway after a brake problem.
Evening all. Elderly family members need to make this return journey later this month. We're trying to sort the fewest changes possible but are struggling to get anything remotely sensible from the search engines.
The option I think that would be easiest is:
Brundall - Norwich
Norwich -...
I'm sure others will have noticed that the Midland Mainline seems to be having something of a meltdown recently. I've made 3 return trips from Sheffield to London in the last 6 weeks and 5 of the 6 of the legs have been cancelled/heavily delayed.
Anyway, this week I travelled Sheffield to...
Sorry yes, and it has been answered on the merged thread (I didn't realise they go merged now so missed it!)
It was a typo though -the ticket is dated tomorrow (2nd December) but I may end up travelling this afternoon. Thanks all
I have another question on this as it looks like my plans may change short notice with me returning to Sheffield today.
Is this same ticket "London Terminals to Manchester Stations" valid on EMR services to/via Sheffield. It is an off peak single so I thought it may be valid prior to 15:15h...
Afternoon all.
On Saturday 2nd December I have an open ticket from Euston to Manchester. I discovered yesterday that I need to go to Preston and not Manchester. Obviously any sane person would just get their ticket changed. However, my ticket has been supplied by work so it starts becoming a...
ENIF is still operational on the Hertford loop but this test was about ensuring the Class 717 onboard system worked in ETCS L2 on Thameslink infrastructure (as well as a couple of other integration tests that needed doing).
The reason being that the future Northern City Line ETCS infrastructure...
Apologies all for my delay in replying. Its been a chaotic couple of weeks.!
Im non safeguarded at GTR. Sounds like Farringdon may be a good suggestion from the comments here?
I've been having a nightmare with mine. I've been 9 times now and keep getting fobbed off by staff. I know what they need to do but they don't seem to, with most saying it's not eligible even though it is.
I normally get it done at Blackhorse Road tube station (have done the last 3 years). This...
Thank you both for your amazingly prompt and detailed reply! I did try a search on a SVH on brfares as i'd not heard of it before but couldn't seem to find out exactly what it was. Should have tried here first
My ticket was hardly expensive but was just interested in why I couldn't buy...
Can any one tell me the difference between these two fares and why staff couldn't find the lower priced one?

Fare is for a single between Euston and Preston with staff travel card. One the SVS and one the SVH. The restrictions seem almost identical.
Thanks! :)
Thanks for all the advice guys. Ok, well I finally have the tickets in my possession now i'm home from work. Today is Day 28 and as I understand it the last day I can get a refund?
The nearest Greater Anglia station is Tottenham Hale which will be closed by the time I get there. I'm trying to...
Hmmm. Well, that wasn't offered so they're in the post now. Hopefully I can sort it. I'd assumed it would be quite straight forward as the tickets were bought in a station but obviously not. Mind you, I have made it more complicated admittedly!
Evening all,
A story from A to Z...
I bought two Off Peak Priv Returns last month for a trip between London Euston and Lancaster at Norwich station on my debit card. I left the tickets in Norwich at my parents in error. By the time I realised this I had driven back to London and as travel was...
