Go ahead West Yorkshire 571 (Shelf-Brighouse-Halifax) service requires a reverse manoeuvre at Southowram, though occasionally some drivers can turn around in one without the need to reverse.
Depends how specific the question is as number of services don’t stop at the intermediate stations with the airport being the next station stop after Piccadilly, I guess the same applies to Birmingham New Street/International which has been posted.
I can’t think of a shorter example than the 20:30 Bradford-Shipley mentioned, only close one I can think of is the regular Lancaster-Morecambe shuttle at around 11 minutes.
Managed to photograph 158785 this afternoon passing through the new Pineapple Road station. https://www.flickr.com/photos/railphotosonline/55213326955/in/dateposted
331028 could do with entering service as soon as on the triangle services, to highlight the shortage of available 333’s the 0630 Leeds-Bradford F Sq/0711 Skipton/0809 Leeds is being covered by 158758 according to RTT in place of the usual 333.
Don’t know but it arrived, sat in the platform for 10 minutes or so then the engines were switched off and passengers let off to stand on the platform if they wished, 1J07 was eventually turned back towards Leeds as 1J06.
Looks like for the second Saturday in a row the Calder Valley is at a stand still due to a track circuit failure between Manchester Vic and Rochdale. 1J07 at a stand in Todmorden with engines shut down.
Be interesting to see how Blackpool North station handles the Railway 200 inspiration train which is due to be at the station from the 4th-7th November and what arrangements they make for barrier/platform access.
Captured 350245 this evening, I have posted a few photos on my Flickr, one of which is 350245 crossing Dinting viaduct. https://www.flickr.com/photos/railphotosonline/54683230200/in/dateposted/
Not sure if it’s already been mentioned but from the timetable change the current 0641 Bradford Forster Square to Carnforth will become an 0641 to Lancaster, it will no longer be an ECS working from Carnforth to Lancaster.
It could be seen as a backwards step going from a 185 to a 150, however observing all the passengers boarding yesterday morning they all appeared to be nonplussed by the change in train type.
On a personal note as a regular user of the route I am very pleased it’s back to a self contained...
Yes 150008 is unit 150111 with half of 150226 (57226) in the middle, it’s been in service in its new formation for a week or two. 150007 has the 52 end of 150226 in the middle of 150132.
Northern’s recently formed 150008 is taking charge of Northern’s half of the now shared Huddersfield-Dewsbury-Leeds stopper following todays timetable change. Seen here at Huddersfield on 2J55 0859 to Leeds.
