Hi there
I last had a train SIM game for my PC about 10 years ago.
I recently have decided I'd like to start again. I'm bit overwhelmed with the various offers there are.
I would like to a Train SIM with a good selection of routes, including East Anglia where I live and up to date rolling...
I noticed when waiting to catch an Peterbrough to Upswich train that on the information board it says 'mind the gap'.
What puzzled me was:
- the 755's have steps which come out level to the platform edge
- it is only the Peterborough to Ipswic services which say this
- none of the other trains...
I have purchased the following tickets online:
xyz place to to London Undergrnd Zone 1-2
Does this mean that I can travel where I want, like a travelcard, using the ticket - or does it mean that my journey ends at any London Rail station within zones 1 and 2?
I was at London Liverpool Street today and went into WH Smith
I observed the decor there seems to be very out of character of the rest of the station. For example gold edging at the ceiling, painted characters on the wall and so on
Is it part of the original station decor? Any ideas on the...
My wife has bought me a ticket to the Steam Gala at the North Norfolk Railway.
Where are some good spots to get pictures of the trains in action
Do they allow line siding at all
Could someone please clarify for me if the Elizabeth line is going to be affected by the strikes taking place at the end of July .
Some websites say that it is part of TFL and therefore will not be affected by the national rail strikes.
However, the TFL website seems to indicate that the...
Is a couple of weeks I am travelling from Tottenham Court Road to Windsor via Slough. (returning same day)
I was going to get the Elizabeth line and then change at Slough. I then wondered about fares.
Oyster goes as far as West Drayton (is that correct) but GWR's website says
'Contactless...
If I book a ticket from Thurston to London via Greater Anglia, arriving 0915 and leaving 1645, Fri 23rd June, I am offered and Off Peak ticket
i have treid this via Greater Anglia's website and some other serch engies.
Yet, National Rail does not offer this (which I think is correct)
Is...
This line appears to have had a speed restriction for several weeks.
Any idea why - it can't be one part of the track - sounds more serious than that - and how long it's going to be there?
Hi
I wonder if you could help me with routing from Thurston (TRS) to London.
I notice that there are two tickets offered by National Rail website for tomorrow:-
Thurston to London Liverpool Street - (via Stowmarket / Ipswich) - £67.30 Offpeak - two adults with Two Together Railcard. This is...
I am due to be in London on Weds 22nd June. The Tfl service says that services will start around 8 am.
Based on previous strikes, how frequent wil lthe service initially be on Weds around that time? I am thinking about the Central , District and Circle lines. I'm wondering how they bring the...
Today I found that there appears to be a 'bug' in the Greater Anglia app.
- I ordered some advance tickets for Wednesday. the app gives me an error 'your tickets cannot be downloaded' - and it shows the tickets but there is no icon for you to actually open them. I contacted GA support who said...
Can someone confirm that if I go to the 'old ticket hall' that I can access the Northern Line.
I am looking at the quickest way to access the Northern Line from the Kings Cross Station.
What's the quickest way to get to the other underground lines from the northern line?
Is it to use the lifts or to leave the line via the new ticket level and walk above the ground to the old ticket hall
Looking at maps of the station - there is entrance off the corner of Old Broad Street - and I am trying to work out where it leads to?
I know there is an exit from the Central Line - is this it?
What other entrances are there to the underground station? apart from the two within the mainline...
so, if you are travelling on a train on the GEML, into London, and want the central line is it quicker:-
i. to get off at Stratford and then change there or
ii. to travel to LS and change there.
Are there any shortcuts to access the Central lines from these two stations. At LS I tend to go to...
Does anyone know of a rail planning app that works off line on Andriod. I was in a 'no signal' area last night when I wanted to plan my rail trip home and could not do this.
