    Converting Class 707s to 700s

    Would it be feasible to remanufacture the Class 707s (once / if no longer needed by Southeastern) into some extra 700s for Thameslink? 30 5-car 707s means 60 driving motor cars and 90 intermediate trailers. From this you could make 15 8-car 700/0s (using 30 driving motor cars and 90 trailers)...

    Clapham Junction Oyster issue

    Does anyone know the correct way to touch out/validate when changing from Overground (Oyster) to SWR at Clapham Junction, to avoid being charged a maximum fare? I take the Overground from Olympia and then SWR to Southampton, and I’ve tried using the pink validators on the Overgound platforms...

    Should more 484 units have been provided for island line services?

    Anyone else think 5 units is cutting it a bit too thin? A 30-minute service will require 4 units during the peak, leaving just one unit spare (i.e. not even a full 4-car train). I would have thought an extra unit (for a total of 6) would have provided more resilience for when things go wrong.
