As the thread on 150202 has rightly been shut down I have opened this one to cover all aspects of GWR's 150s.
For starters there is a path showing on RTT for tomorrow morning - 0900 5H70 Exeter TMD to Wolverton Centre Sidings. One assumes that this either 207 or 216 going away for surgery but...
To enable me to monitor daily Class 158 stock allocations is anyone able to list the first working in each relevant diagram?
Many thanks if you are able to oblige.
During the GWR Devon and Cornwall Webinar yesterday a slide was shown by GWR indicating that from May there would be more 4 car Class 158 services on the Cardiff-Portsmouth services. No indication however as to where the 158s are coming from. Possibly from the current Tarka line services? Split...
In a recent webinar Mark Hopwood made it known that he was unhappy with the reliability of their Turbos. My main interest is in the Avocet (Exmouth) line on which I have established that there should be 4 Turbos in operation Mondays to Fridays but currently it is generally just one or two, which...
I am pretty sure this was the unit that was involved with the cattle incident on the Okehampton line 2nd June.
Is the set currently operating or is it undergoing repairs?
I don't know which lines/diagrams that 2 car 158s operate on, so can't easily check on RTT.
Thanks for any information.
This GWR unit has been out of action since mid February. According to a GWR manager it is undergoing a C7 Exam.
Two questions what work is done on a C7 (which I had previously never heard of), compared to a C6 and where is the unit at the moment?
A friend of mine is on a mini tour of the North East and reports seeing a disused Class 325 in Tyne yard but couldn't see the number. Anyone know which one it is?
Following the departure of the 143s and the arrival of a couple of 168s I would be interested to know the current allocations to Exeter. How many 158s are based there now? All 20 of GWR's 150s are based at Exeter s I understand it.
As regards Cornwall I assume that just 150s are being used on...
As I understand it all GWR's 150s are now based at Exeter but certainly up until the last timetable change there was at least one 150 diagram in the Bristol area. Is this still the case?
Secondly, are the two 150/0 sets still due to leave GWR in April - presumably for Northern?
A considerable amount of new rails have been deposited on the 4' of platforms 4 and 1. It looks like the track in platforms 3, 4 and 5 is going to be replaced.
Anyone any idea when?
There are several threads dealing with specific aspects of the GWR cascade but, as far as I can see, not one that brings the whole picture together. I have therefore started this new thread but should there be an existing suitable thread that I have missed, I would be happy for this one binned...
