Why do we have such a ridiculously low speed turnout in this location? Surely it should be replaced with one capable of handling trains at 50 to 60mph so...
Is there any news on when the Highland Main Line will finally be upgraded to hourly?
Thw eork was done at Pitlochry and Aviemore to allow faster crossing points. And yet we still have gaps in the timetable of two hours at times. And the proposed time improvements have not materialised either.
Does anyone expect further uplift or ScotRail HSat operation for this summer? And have all the sets been lengthened to five-car that were planned?
I note that Aberdeen to Glasgow and Edinburgh are mainly hourly HST's, but the Highland main line is still a mix of HSTs and units.
It also seems...
Is it me, or has the Lumo seat selector disappeared? I can't seem to find it on the website or app. It seems that Lumo only automatically assign seats now. Has anyone else noticed this?
Travelling from St Pancras, I understand that if I have an East Midlands Rover ticket, I simply need to buy a buy a single or return ticket as far as the EM Rover southern boundary at Bedford - even if EMR Intercity services do NOT stop at Bedford. IS that correct?
I've been told clause 14.3...
How is the program to fit WSP going? In the latest edition of Modern Railways, Ian Walmsley reports that an HST he was travelling on to Inverness came to a stand three time on the climb to Dromochter summit due to wheel slip - despite being fitted with a new westinghouse WSP system. It is...
Coes anone know why Leicester down platform 1 does not seem to accept EMR Intercity services while platform 2 is occupied. There are frequent instances of two Intercity services from St Pancras to Sheffield and Nottingham being close together where the Nottingham behind could be routed jnto P1...

As for the 810's, there is a rumour that diesel performance does not match a healthy class 222 yet, but with only four engines on the train, the impact...
TFL website saying disruption due to an earlier broken down train at Paddington, but that seems to be cleared and looks like services have resumed westbound, but very little going east. There appars to be a line block between Whitechapel and Stratford eastbound?
Just passed Temple Mills and spare E300 power car 3999 is coupled at the rear to an E320 set. It looks as if the E300 power car has hauled or rescued the E320, but probably not. Does anyone know what capability there is for both types of train to rescue each other or be run in multiple?
Can anyone shed light on why signal 113 is causing every fast northbound WCML to come to a stand before clearing, costing most trains a 2 -3 minute delay. And furthermore why is it taking so long to be fixed. Surely it is coming up to a month this has been faulty?

Wholly deserved too. This is the best fleet of regional trains in the country. It is proof of what van happen when you spend a bit more to buy a quality product and commit...
Wasn't there a plan for Elizabeth line to run from Shenfield right through to Reading and Maidenhead? Seems to be only Paddington and Heathrow at the moment.
Hi does anyone know a reliable source that will indicate which rolling stock is allocated to swiss services.
Ideally looking for info on which services might be loco hauled, and also the ICN tilting train.
Any help would be appreciated.
Friday i noted a number of down GWR services being diverted to the relief lines through Slough and back off the relief lines onto the main further down the line. I also noted Paddington to Didcot services being routed on to the relief lines at Airport jn as opposed to Dolphin Jn. Is there an...
Can anyone explain why some TOC's have tradtionally got far better reliability out of their HST's than others? Is it a case of how much money is (was) thrown at them in servicing and maintenenance?
Even now both Scotrail and GWR reworked fleets achieving less than half of the Modern Railways...
