Went to The Isle of Sheppey(by road)got me thinking about the train service to Sheerness.In the 60s you got the Dover train from Victoria,train split at Sittingbourne,front portion to Dover,rear portion to Sheerness.Is this still the case.

With the growth in the area since the station closure in 1964,do you think it would be worth reopening the station?The platforms are still in situ & there are plans to open an international freight terminal nearby.
There used to be 5 or 6 sdgs next to the WB line at Cockfosters station.These sdgs have been gone for a while,where did the trains that stabled there relocate to?
The proposal to withdraw direct services at Wellingborough to Leicester & Nottingham and extend Thameslink to Kettering/Corby has gone down like a lead balloon locally.A protest group (Save Our Railway)has started & the Wellingborough and Kettering MPs are also not happy.
