I see that FGW have already announced they will be providing additional trains as well as adding additional stops from other services. Question is? Will the additional services be comprised of a couple T&T sheds and MK2s or can we expect something a little different this year? (Probably...
Hello everyone
Sorry to bother you about this one but I am still to see it running and getting irritated by that fact!
I know it came down on Wednesday for a number of reasons as it was on RTT, (although left nearly 3 hours behind it's original schedule) and a screenshot was taken via the...
Good Morning All
I was just browsing through the RTT website the other day and noticed this schedule http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/H10511/2013/05/30/advanced running Thursdays only between 04-Apr-13 and 05-Dec-13 “0451 Old Oak Common H.S.T.D. to Salisbury” [via Honiton/Exeter St...

Thanks,
Just thought you may like to view my relatively new Flickr site, some local railtours, (which will be updated as of and when) and a quiet day at the South Devon Railway.

Thanks everyone :)
Good afternoon all.
I just wondered if anyone had any more info on the ACE that will be gracing the Southern line this coming Sunday.
Although times have now been posted, there is an issue regarding gauging problems for 30777, although its still on the rota.
With 34067 bringing up the...
My first ever post of photos/video on here, what took me so long!!

And the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNiBH0w5r28&list=UUnHPfZg7YuNy_lDsUk3HxWw&index=1
Better late than never!

Hello all
Just a really quick question as I was merely interested to know.
When a driver is operating a 'normal' passenger service stopping at most stations along the route, when stopped would they move the Reverser into Neutral, or would they keep it in the Forward position? (This applies to...
Hello all.
Maybe a bit of an odd one this but im sure someone can help me.
Fortunately I have been lucky enough to travel via rail for the past few months thanks to my job, (Exeter to London).
It's something I've never really noticed but on all my journeys so far this year, when...
Just sat in my frontroom and heard what was almost definitely a 37 storming up the line about 5mins ago. I'm between Exeter Central and St. James on the waterloo line.
So anybody have any ideas as to what and why? Sounded light..
Thanks
I live between Exeter Central and St. James on the Waterloo/Exmouth line. As I speak they are relaying track on the down line through Central station.
Anyway... Is there any rule or regulation as to why the locos have to remain 'engine on' for hours at a time; a 66' in this case.
Since last...
Hello all.
Firstly apologies if this has already been asked; I live on the Waterloo line between Exeter Central and St. James, there have been quite a few HST's working the line yesterday and today, i'm guessing the Paddington line is closed for engineering? Anybody know how long this is for...
Hello
I don't suppose anybody would have times for the above mentioned tour, operated by 40145 + D1015, Crewe - Penzance Saturday down and return Sunday?
Times in/out/through Exeter St Davids for both days will suffice but any other info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks all :D
Train driver who drove nuclear trains for 36 years gets the sack because he's colour blind
Feb 10 2010 By Amy Devine
A TRAIN driver has lost his job - after 36 years in which he took freight to a nuclear site - because he was colour blind.
Robert Law, 55, once collected Tony Blair and...
I've heard very un-descriptive reports that a train collided into another this morning at St. Davids.
As far as I can understand and presume from my knowledge of the station/workings that a SWT 159 was moving off the yard to platform 1 and somehow in the process shunted the rear of either...
I was just wondering if there were any web sites/magazines that sell trains, or train parts/sections/cab cutouts etc...?
Steam or Diesel, I'm not picky...
Unfortuantley my search on google returns 'buy cheap train tickets...!'
Thanks :D
Hello all :D
T'was just wondering, last year at the Dawlish Airday, happening this Thursday, will they be laying on 2x EWS 67's and Virgin Mk.2's like last year...?
Here are a few photos of the traffic on that day... Enjoy...
Hello
Me again, my third post on here in a week...
T'was wondering, yesterday s'evening approx 19.00-19.30 a train went up the line from Exeter Central heading towards Waterloo... (I live between Central & St. James.)
It was definately a freight of some sort because of the front loco...
I would like to know if anyone can tell me why approximately once maybe twice a month, at no particular time but usually between 00.00 and 02.00 I hear what I assume to be a 47 or probably 57 go up my line in the early hours.
I can hear her climb the bank by at which point it obviously too...
