Help please. I received a letter of intent to prosecute under Byelaw20(1) and 20(2) of Railway Byelaws 2005.
The offence was being in possession of an altered travel ticket and knowingly with intention to defraud or prejudice the train company.
Can a request be made for settlement out of court...
Please help, I travelled from Huntington to kingscross on 24th January without purchasing the right ticket, no excuse. I gave my details to the inspector who cautioned me and said I will be prosecuted. I am still waiting for prosecution notice and am terrified and anxious.
