    Poor service on the Southport-Manchester line

    As I sit here at Meols Cop and see there's another cancellation on this line. I was wondering if ever a day goes by when there isn't a cancellation on this route. Or is it, in my opinion, the route with the most dreadful service in the NW? It's quite abysmal at times

    There was a comment that these cards would work on any ticket barrier in the country,allowing unhindered access and exit. I'm wondering if anyone has tried this? I've not had the opportunity to try it myself. I'm referring to the new style card complete with photo that was sent out by RDG.

    Merseyrail on board ticket sellers

    Travelling on a Merseyrail service this morning, guy with a ticket machine going through selling tickets. Not a penalty fare guy more like the old AFC job. How long has this been happening?

    Weekend 1st upgrade with standard priv

    I guess this has been done to death. But I'm travelling on Sat 20/5 Liv-Eus. Bought my off peak return priv. Looking to upgrade to 1st. Can I do this on board and how much is it return. Cheers
